Pursuant to Decision 1300/QD-BYT in 2023, the procedures for assessing and recognizing qualified commune health stations in Vietnam are:

Commune level:

- Register with district-level management agencies (Health Departments and Health Centers) on the implementation of the national criteria for commune health stations.

- Commune health stations shall self-organize the assessment of meeting the national criteria for commune health stations; collect all documents, and data, and make records to prove the satisfaction of the criteria.

- After self-organizing the assessment, commune health stations shall report to the commune-level People's Committee, send to the Offical Dispatch issued by the commune-level People's Committee with relevant documents to the district-level state management agency (Health Departments and Health Centers) to request the recognition of qualified commune health stations.

District level:

- The Health Department advises the district-level People's Committee to establish a review council for recognition of qualified commune health stations. Members of the Council include representatives of the district-level People's Health Care Steering Committee, representatives of Health centers, general hospitals, health departments, and other relevant units at the district level. The Secretariat, consisting of 3-5 officers with appropriate experience and professional qualifications shall assist the Council.
