The instructions for looking up citizens' personal information at the Public Service Portal for Residence Management in Vietnam during 2024 are as follows:

Step 1: Citizens log in to the Website address of the Public Service Portal: https://dichvucong.dancuquocgia.gov.vn/

Step 2: Select the National Public Service Portal account. Login account/password to access (Use National Public Service Portal account).

Continue to choose 01 of 02 login forms, using the National Public Service Portal account or using the VNeID account; enter the authentication code sent by the system on the phone to complete the login.

Step 3: On the homepage, access the "Citizen Information" function.

Step 4: Citizens enter the required information (with a red asterisk): Full name, ID card number or citizen ID card number or personal identification number, date of birth, confirmation code; and press "Search".

Step 5: Citizen information shall be displayed on the screen.

Residence information verification
1. Citizens may visit residence registration authorities across the country regardless of their places of residence to request the residence information verification directly at the residence registration office or through the public service portal, VNeID application, or other online public service as prescribed by law.
2. Contents of residence information verification include information about the current residence, previous residences, time of residence at each residence, residence registration form, and other residence information available in the residence database or national database on population. The certificate of residence information is valid for 01 year from the date of issue. In case the citizen's residence information has changed and is updated in the residence database, the certificate of residence information shall expire from the time of change.
3. The residence registration authorities shall verify residence information at the request of citizens. In case the information to be verified about residence is already in the national database on population, the processing time limit shall not exceed 1/2 working day. In case information to be verified about residence is not included in the national database on population or the residence database, the processing time limit shall not exceed 03 working days.

Article 26 of the Law on Residence 2020 specifies the revision of residence information in the residence database of Vietnam as follows:

* Residence information of a citizen shall be revised in the following cases:

- Change of household head;

- Change to information on their civil status, which is recorded in the residence database;

- Change to the address of their place of residence recorded in the residence database due to change to administrative unit boundaries, administrative unit name, name of their street, neighborhood, village, commune or hamlet, or house number.

* Application for revision of residence information for the cases in Points a and b Clause 1 of Article 26 of the Law on Residence 2020 includes:

- Declaration of change to residence information;

- Written proof of the change.

* Procedure for revision of residence information:

- For the case in Point a Clause 1 of Article 26 of the Law on Residence 2020, a household member shall submit an application containing the documents mentioned in Clause 2 of Article 26 of the Law on Residence 2020 to the registration authority. Within 03 working days starting from the date of receipt of an adequate and valid application, the registration authority shall revise information on the household head in the residence database and notify the applicant of such revision; and provide a written explanation for the applicant if the application rejected;

- For the case in Point b Clause 1 of Article 26 of the Law on Residence 2020, within 30 days starting from the date of issuance of a decision on change to civil status information by the competent authority, the person subject to such change shall submit an application for revision of relevant information in the residence database containing the documents mentioned in Clause 2 of Article 26 of the Law on Residence 2020 to the registration authority.

Within 03 working days starting from the date of receipt of an adequate and valid application, the registration authority shall revise civil status information in the residence database notify the applicant of such revision; and provide a written explanation for the applicant if the application is rejected;

- For the case in Point c Clause 1 of Article 26 of the Law on Residence 2020, registration authorities shall revise the information in the residence database
