What is a job application form?
A job application form is a document form that is often attached to a job application for those who are planning to apply for a job. The application can be handwritten or typed (in Vietnamese or English).
In the body of the job application form, job seekers will present about their desire to apply for a certain position of the company, demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have to meet the job requirements, also leave a contact phone number or email.
Employers will read job application forms, consider other attached documents such as cover letter (CV), degrees, etc. to consider inviting candidates to interview.
Guidelines for presenting a standard job application form
The job application form sent to the employer also needs to be presented in a professional manner that attracts the employer. Therefore, the job application form also needs to ensure the regulations on the structure as prescribed in Article 8 of Decree 30/2020/ND-CP of Vietnam as follows:
“Article 8. Document structure
1. Document structure is a set of components of a document, including main ones required in all documents and additional ones needed in certain cases or in several documents.
2. The structure of an administrative document comprises the following main components:
a) Country’s official name and motto.
b) The issuing entity’s name.
c) Document’s numbers or codes.
d) Name of place and date of issue.
dd) Document type and abstract or summary of document content.
e) Document contents.
g) Title, full name and signature of the competent person.
h) Seal, signature of the entity.
i) Recipient.
3. In addition to those components referred to in clause 2 of this Article, a document can include:
a) Appendices.
b) "Classified” or “Urgent” marks and directions for circulation.
c) Marks indicating the document maker and number of copies to be issued.
d) Entity’s address; email address; web address; telephone number; fax number.
4. The structure of an administrative document shall be subject to regulations laid down in Appendix I hereto.”
Thus, when presenting a job application form, we need to ensure:
+ Country’s official name and motto: Need to present it fully, clearly and correctly
+ Time, place: Need to write specifically and must be accurate
+ Title: Need to capitalize the title of the full name of the business you want to apply for
+ Full name of the applicant: It is necessary to write fully and accurately both their first and last name according to the birth certificate, in all capital letters.
+ People's identity card/Citizen ID: In this section, you only need to fill in the ID number or the number on the valid CCCD card.
+ Date of issue: Please write down the correct information about the time to be granted personal papers in accordance with regulations.
+ Place of issue: Specify the place of issue stated in the ID card/CCCD card.
+ Education level: You need to write 12/12 for those who have graduated from grade 12 and then go to work, and for those who are studying at University, College or Intermediate level, write University/College/ Intermediate.
+ Professional qualifications: Please enter the profession for which you are trained.
+ Foreign languages: If you have the ability in any language, please fill in that language in this section.
+ Health status: Please fill in as in your medical examination paper.
+ Confirmation of the People's Committee: You need to go to the People's Committee of the ward/commune where you are residing to get a signature and seal to authenticate this application.
