What is the scope of regulation of National Standard TCVN 7271: 2003 on classification of motor vehicles by purpose of use in Vietnam?
National Standard TCVN 7271: 2003 is compiled by TCVN/TC22 Technical Committee of Road Vehicles and Vietnam Register, proposed by the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality, and published by Ministry of Science and Technology.
Accordingly, this National Standard provides for the classification of motor vehicles by purpose of use for motor vehicle for the transport of persons, motor vehicles for the transport of goods, commercial vehicles and special motor vehicles.
National Standard TCVN 7271: 2003 uses the referance documents which are TCVN 6211: 2003 (ISO 3833: 1977) - Road vehicles - Types - Terms and definitions and ISO 7656:1993 - Commercial road vehicles - Dimensional codes.
What is the classification of motor vehicles in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Section 3 of National Standard TCVN 7271: 2003, motor vehicles in Vietnam are classified as follows:
