What are the symbols of concrete pole products in Vietnam?
In subsection 4.3.2, Section 4, National Standard TCVN 5847: 2016, the symbols of concrete pole products in Vietnam are specified as follows:
Concrete pole products are denoted by letters and numbers in the following conventional order:
- Stress state of pole structure:
+ Non-pre-stressed spun precast reinforced concrete pole: NPC;
+ Pre-stressed spun precast reinforced concrete pole: PC.
- Grouping by use:
+ Group I: I concrete poles;
+ Group II concrete electric poles with N: IIN bending moment distribution;
+ Group II concrete electric poles have a T: IIT bending moment distribution.
- Basic size:
+ pole length, m: 6 ... 22;
+ Outer diameter of group I electric poles, mm: 120, 140, 160, 190, 230;
+ Outside the pole diameter of group II, mm: 300, 350, 400.
- Design load and torque:
+ Design load of electricity poles of group I, kN 1, 1,5, ... 13;
+ Design torque of group II electric poles kN.m 50, ... 110.
- Standard number: TCVN 5847: 2016.
EXAMPLE 1: "PC. I-12-190-3,5.TCVN 5847:2016" is understood as a type of prestressed centrifugal reinforced concrete power pole, group I, length 12 m, outside diameter of pole head 190 mm, design load 3.5 kN, manufactured according to TCVN 5847: 2016.
EXAMPLE 2: "NPCs. I-12-190-3,5.TCVN 5847:2016" is understood as a type of pre-stressed centrifugal reinforced concrete power pole, group I, length 12 m, diameter outside the head of the pole 190 mm, design load 3.5 kN, manufactured according to TCVN 5847: 2016.
EXAMPLE 3: "PC. IIN-10-300-65. TCVN 5847: 2016" is understood as a type of pre-stressed spun precast reinforced concrete pole, group IIN, length 10 m, outer diameter 300 mm, design torque 65 kN.m, manufactured according to TCVN 5847: 2016.
What are the requirements for materials of spun precast reinforced concrete poles in Vietnam?
In subsection 5.1, Section 5, National Standard TCVN 5847: 2016, the requirements for materials of spun precast reinforced concrete poles in Vietnam
Cement
Cement used for the production of spun precast reinforced concrete poles can use Portland cement in accordance with TCVN 2682: 2009 or mixed pork cement in accordance with TCVN 6260: 2009. For areas with aggressive environments, it is possible to use sunphat durable poultry cement (PCSR) in accordance with TCVN 6067: 2004 or sunphat mixed porridge cement (PCBMSR, PCBHSR) in accordance with TCVN 7711: 2013. Other types of poultry cement can also be used in combination with active additives that meet the requirements of cavitation resistance.
Aggregate
Types of aggregates used for the manufacture of spun precast reinforced concrete poles have the largest aggregate particle size not exceeding 25 mm and not greater than 4/5 of the smallest distance of prestressed reinforcement (PC) and longitudinal reinforcement; other criteria must conform to TCVN 7570: 2006. In addition, the provisions of the design must be satisfied.
Water
Concrete mixing water conforms to TCVN 4506:2012.
Additives
Concrete additives used to produce spun precast reinforced concrete poles conform to TCVN 8826:2011, TCVN 8827:2011 and TCVN 10302:2014.
Reinforcement
- Pre-stressed reinforcement (PC) in accordance with TCVN 6284-1:1997; TCVN 6284-2:1997; TCVN 6284-3:1997 or equivalent standards.
- Reinforcement usually conforms to TCVN 1651-1:2008; TCVN 1651-2:2008 or equivalent standards.
- Structural steel conforms to TCVN 5709: 2009 or equivalent standards.
Concrete
The compressive strength at the age of 28 days of concrete made of centrifugal reinforced concrete power poles is not less than 30 MPa for pre-stressed centrifugal reinforced concrete power poles and not less than 40 MPa for pre-stressed centrifugal reinforced concrete power poles with cylindrical test specimens (150 x 300) mm. It is also possible to use the cube model (150 x 150 x 150) mm, but the conversion factor must be multiplied according to TCVN 3118: 1993.
