Career counseling, jobs for high school students in Vietnam in the form of visits and experiences at enterprises?

Pursuant to Clause 3, Article 5 of Circular 07/2022/TT-BGDDT stipulates as follows:

“Article 5. Form of implementation of career and employment counseling
...
3. For high school level
a) Integrating, integrating into the subjects and educational activities of the school.
b) Organize for students to find out the requirements on quality, competence, expertise and profession for professions and jobs through learning tools, labor tools, documents on occupations and jobs. .
c) Organize knowledge and skills training in career and employment for students through club activities, extracurricular activities and coordinated activities with partners.
d) Organizing for students to experience and practice for groups of professions and jobs that have been consulted through visiting and experiencing activities in the community, businesses, agencies, units, and other stakeholders. At least once a school year to ensure that it is suitable to the conditions of the school.
d) Organize a festival for enrollment counseling, career counseling and employment for students, at least once a school year.”

Thus, for high school students in Vietnam - who are about to enter the university term, they will be able to organize a visit and experience at the enterprise to have their own orientation about their future careers and jobs. Vocational and employment counseling for high schools is carried out in accordance with the above regulations.

Connecting student startup projects with start-up support organizations?

Pursuant to Article 6 of Circular 07/2022/TT-BGDDT stipulating as follows:

“Article 6. Tasks of start-up support work
1. For junior high school
a) Propagating and disseminating to students the contents of innovation and entrepreneurship.
b) Educating and guiding students in knowledge and skills: Active citizenship, awareness of entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, design thinking, financial thinking.
c) Guiding, providing learning materials and creating an environment for students to form ideas and practice, experience the implementation of startup ideas and projects.
2. For high school level
a) Propagating and disseminating to students contents and activities on innovation and entrepreneurship.
b) Educating and guiding students to understand and apply knowledge and skills: Active citizenship, awareness of entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, digital transformation, design thinking, knowledge business, financial management, business model and communication solutions.
c) Guiding, providing documents and learning materials to help students form start-up projects.
d) Arrange facilities and resources, create an environment for students to experience, practice, deploy and develop startup ideas and projects.
dd) Connecting possible start-up projects of students with partners, incubators and start-up support organizations.
3. For higher education institutions
a) Provide students with information about startup support programs and policies.
b) Promulgate specific regulations on regimes, policies and orientations for innovation and entrepreneurship associated with academic and research activities.
c) Training, fostering and organizing training for students to apply knowledge and skills: Active citizenship, awareness of entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, digital transformation, critical thinking design, business knowledge, lean start-up, corporate finance, communication, branding, intellectual property, capital raising, corporate governance and other innovative knowledge and skills suitable for training groups.
d) Arranging resources, facilities, laboratories, workshops, creating an environment and common space to support students in starting a business.
dd) Develop a business incubation program, support students to form, experience, practice and complete projects and startup ideas.
e) Consulting, supporting and connecting student startup projects with Startup Support Funds and partners.”

Accordingly, in order to support start-ups in educational institutions, it is necessary to perform the tasks set out for each educational level according to the above regulations.

In what form does it support entrepreneurship for students in educational institutions?

Pursuant to Article 7 of Circular 07/2022/TT-BGDDT stipulating as follows:

“Article 7. Forms of support for start-ups
1. For junior high school
a) Organize propaganda for students about innovation and start-up activities through the integration into subject curricula, educational activities, through documents and media.
b) Organize training, provide knowledge and skills for students to start a business through training activities, fostering, training and through documents provided by the school.
c) Developing science research, innovation and entrepreneurship clubs so that students have an environment to form startup ideas and projects.
d) Coordinate with partners to organize for students to practice, experience and implement startup projects.
2. For high school level
a) Organize propaganda for students about innovation and start-up activities through the integration into subject curricula, educational activities, through documents and media.
b) Organize training, provide knowledge and skills for students to start a business through training activities, fostering, training and through documents provided by the school.
c) Developing science research, innovation and entrepreneurship clubs so that students have an environment to form startup ideas and projects.
d) Organize forums, seminars, inspirational exchanges and entrepreneurship for students, at least once per school year.
dd) Coordinate with partners to create a start-up support environment; organizing practice, implementing startup projects and connecting students' viable start-up projects with business incubators.
3. For higher education institutions
a) Organize propaganda about innovation and start-up activities for students through training activities, extra-curricular activities, documents and media.
b) Develop training programs, thematic refresher courses on knowledge and entrepreneurial skills for students in the direction of compulsory or elective.
c) Educating, raising awareness, and imparting entrepreneurship spirit to students through the implementation of "Citizens Week - Students".
d) Organize fostering, training, training to raise awareness, knowledge and skills on innovation and entrepreneurship for students through training programs, document research, extra-curricular activities, information technology means, working in coordination with partners.
dd) Support and facilitate the establishment of student clubs for scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship.
e) Organizing practice, implementing startup projects for students through coordination activities with partners; organize for students to participate in contests, fairs, exhibitions, introduce scientific and technical achievements, and start-up projects."

Thus, the implementation of start-up support in educational institutions will be based on a certain level of education to apply specific forms specified in the above content.

Circular 07/2022/TT-BGDDT will take effect from July 8, 2022.
