Procedures for Granting Certificates of Eligibility for Business in Sports Activities for Tennis
On March 28, 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision 775/QD-BVHTTDL 2024 announcing administrative procedures that have been amended and supplemented in the field of Physical Training and Sports within the management scope of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
According to Section 24 Part II of Decision 775/QD-BVHTTDL 2024, the procedure for granting a certificate of eligibility for business in sports activities for tennis is carried out in the following sequence and manner:
- The enterprise submits the application via postal services, electronically, or directly to the specialized sport authorities under the provincial People's Committee where the sports activity business location is registered, or where the enterprise’s head office is located in case the enterprise has multiple business locations for sports activities.
- The specialized sport authority under the provincial People's Committee (hereinafter referred to as the certifying authority) issues a receipt of application to the enterprise.
- In case the application needs amendments or supplements, the certifying authority will notify directly or in writing the contents to be amended or supplemented to the enterprise within 03 working days from the date of receipt of the application.
Thus, organizations requesting a certificate of eligibility for business in sports activities for tennis need to follow the above administrative procedures to be considered and granted the certificate of eligibility for business.

Documents Required for Applying for a Certificate of Eligibility for Tennis Business
According to Decision 775/QD-BVHTTDL 2024, the application for a certificate of eligibility for business in sports activities for tennis includes the following components:
- Application for the Certificate of Eligibility for Business in Sports Activities
- A copy of the Enterprise Registration Certificate;
- Summary of the preparedness of business conditions
Conditions for Tennis Business to be Granted a Certificate of Eligibility for Business in Sports Activities
According to Section 24 Part II of Decision 775/QD-BVHTTDL 2024, the requirements for an organization applying for the Certificate of Eligibility for Business in Sports Activities for tennis are as follows:
(1) Training Infrastructure and Equipment
- The court surface is flat, non-slippery, has a drainage slope, and is covered with paint, grass, clay, or synthetic material.
- A singles court has a length of 23.77m and a width of 8.23m. A doubles court has a length of 23.77m and a width of 10.97m.
- The net surrounding the court ensures a distance of at least 4m from the end line to the net and at least 3m from the sideline to the net.
- The lighting level on the court must be from 150 Lux upwards.
- There must be a first aid kit according to the Ministry of Health regulations; a sanitary area, a changing room, and a place to store personal items.
- There must be rules boards specifying the following main content: Training hours; individuals not allowed to participate in training; safety measures during training.
(2) Competition Infrastructure and Equipment
- Conform to the regulations mentioned above, including:
+ Court surface
+ Singles court, doubles court
+ Net surrounding the court
+ Lighting level on the court
+ First aid kit
- There must be a referee chair, scoreboards, and water-pushing equipment.
- If the competition court has a roof, the height from the court surface to the lowest point of the roof must be at least 9m.
(3) Training Density: Each instructor can supervise no more than 12 trainees in one training session.
(4) Professional Staff: Have a team of staff and specialized employees suitable for the activities.
Thus, organizations requesting a certificate of eligibility for business in sports activities for tennis need to follow the above administrative procedures to be considered and granted the certificate of eligibility for business.
