The Mid-Autumn Festival is the festival for children. Every Mid-Autumn Festival, you get to play together, gather with parents and grandparents around the moonlit tray, deeply feel the value of family affection, and nurture the pure, innocent emotions of childhood.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is also a festival of love and sharing, an opportunity for adults to remind themselves to care more for children with love, responsibility, and practical actions. Especially caring for children in difficult circumstances, orphans, and children in remote areas, border regions, islands... so that every child can enjoy a complete and full Mid-Autumn Festival, study, create, and play in the love of family and community.
I am very touched and proud that over the past time, you have made many progressions, done many good deeds, been filial to parents and grandparents, helped, and shared with less fortunate people. You diligently, conscientiously study and become more talented every day. Many of you achieved high results and became the pride of your family, hometown, and country.
I hope you always nurture beautiful dreams, love your family, be polite, know how to unite and help each other, strive to do thousands of good deeds, worthy of being good children and excellent students, good Uncle Ho's children!
Wish you all a very happy, safe, and joyous Mid-Autumn Festival!

Mid-Autumn Festival 2021 Greeting Letter from State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc
LETTER FROM STATE PRESIDENT NGUYEN XUAN PHUC Hanoi, September 17, 2021 Dear Youth and Children! On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, I warmly send you all, both in Vietnam and abroad, and foreign children in Vietnam, my most loving feelings. The Mid-Autumn Festival is the festival of children where you get to join in a joyful, warm atmosphere, gather with parents and grandparents, enjoy mooncakes, and admire the moon. However, in some localities across the country, many children celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in quarantine or with their families implementing social distancing to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic. I am very touched by how many young children have become brave, independent "little soldiers" in quarantine conditions away from their families; or whose parents have to temporarily be away to fulfill duties on the front lines of pandemic prevention. I am also very delighted and praise those who have overcome difficulties, been well-behaved, and achieved good academic results, deserving of the care and attention from both families and society. On behalf of the Communist Party and the State, I commend your efforts and contributions in upholding the glorious tradition of Vietnamese youth. Dear children, The Mid-Autumn Festival is also an opportunity for each family, government, and society to pay special attention to you, helping you nurture pure, beautiful childhood aspirations and dreams. I hope each of you will have a warm Mid-Autumn Festival with your loved ones and also trust that each family, the authorities at all levels, and the entire society, with responsibility and love, continue to have many practical actions to take care of you during the Mid-Autumn Festival, paying special attention to orphans, prioritizing those in difficult circumstances, autistic children, children in remote areas, ensuring safety for children affected by the pandemic; supporting learning equipment, especially for online learning, creating favorable conditions for you all to study, create, and play beneficially, contributing to the good implementation of the Communist Party and the State's policies on child care and protection. Always nurture patriotism, pride, and aspirations, continually cultivate virtues, practice skills to contribute to building a richer, more beautiful, prosperous nation, as our beloved Uncle Ho wished: "I hope you will always be good, To preserve our Lạc-Hồng land, Making famous the ancestors of Dragon and Fairy, Showing the face of Vietnamese youth." I send you all lots of love and affection. Wishing you a very safe, healthy Mid-Autumn Festival! Affectionately, |
