What documents does an exam application for the Vietnam High School Graduation Exam in 2023 include?
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 12 of the Vietnam High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulates as follows:
Subjects and conditions for the exam
1. Subjects for the exam include:
a) Individuals who have completed the high school program in the year the exam is held;
b) Individuals who have completed the high school program but have not yet sat for the graduation exam or have sat for it but did not pass in previous years;
c) Individuals who already have a High School Diploma or an Intermediate Diploma, taking the exam to use the results for college or university enrollment registration;
d) Some other special cases decided by the Minister of Education and Training.
Also, pursuant to the provisions in Clause 2, Article 13 of the Vietnam High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT, stipulates as follows:

2. Exam application:
a) For the subjects stipulated in point a, clause 1, Article 12 of this Regulation, the application file includes: 02 identical application forms; the original or a certified copy from the original or a copy issued from the original book/register or a copy with the original for comparison (collectively called a copy) of the high school transcript or general education transcript at the high school level or a test sheet for self-learning by the modal form issued by the Principal of the high school; valid certificates to receive priority or encouragement policies (if any), a copy of the permanent residence register to receive priority policies related to the place of permanent residence registration; 02 photos size 4x6 cm;
b) For the subjects stipulated in point b, clause 1, Article 12 of this Regulation, in addition to the documents stipulated in point a of this clause, the application file must also include: confirmation from the high school where the candidate attended grade 12 or where the candidate is registered for the exam regarding academic performance rating for those students rated poor in academic performance as stipulated in point b, clause 2, Article 12 of this Regulation; a copy of the Junior High School Diploma; confirmation of retained scores (if any) by the Principal of the high school where the candidate sat for the previous year's exam;
c) For candidates who have graduated from high school, the application file includes: 02 identical application forms; a copy of the High School Diploma; 02 photos size 4x6 cm;
d) For candidates who have graduated from intermediate level, the application file includes: 02 identical application forms; 02 photos size 4x6 cm; a copy of the Junior High School Diploma, a copy of the Intermediate Diploma, a copy of the study register or transcript of cultural subjects at the high school level according to the provisions of the Education Law and current guiding documents of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Thus, the Exam application file will include the following documents:

3. Deadline for submitting the application file:
The deadline for submitting the application file is specified in the annual guidance for organizing the Vietnam High School Graduation Exam issued by the Ministry of Education and Training. After the submission deadline, if any errors or mistakes are detected, the candidate must promptly inform the Principal of the high school or the Head of the unit where the candidate is registered or inform the Head of the Examination Point on the Exam application procedures day to make corrections and supplements.
According to the above regulation, the deadline for submitting the exam application for the Vietnam High School Graduation Exam is not fixed and will be specified in the annual guidance for organizing the Vietnam High School Graduation Exam issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.
How many subjects are required for the National Vietnam High School Graduation Exam 2023?
According to the provisions of Article 3 of the Vietnam High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT, the National Vietnam High School Graduation Exam 2023 is stipulated as follows:
Exam subjects
The exam consists of 05 subjects, including: 03 independent subjects of Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Language; 01 Natural Sciences composite exam (abbreviated as KHTN) consisting of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; 01 Social Sciences composite exam (abbreviated as KHXH) consisting of History, Geography, and Civic Education for students studying the general education program at the high school level or History and Geography for students studying the continuing education program at the high school level.
According to the above regulation, the National Vietnam High School Graduation Exam 2023 will require candidates to take 05 subjects, including:
- Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Language;
- 01 Natural Sciences composite exam (abbreviated as KHTN) consisting of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology;
