Pursuant to the provisions of Clause 6, Article 2 of Decree 48/2022/ND-CP defining the tasks and powers of the Ministry of Information and Communications in Vietnam in the field of publishing as follows:
“6. About publishing (including publishing, printing, publishing)
a) Guide, direct and organize the implementation of the network of publishing, printing and distribution establishments according to the master plan on development of the network of press, radio, television, electronic information and media establishments. publishing agency approved by the Prime Minister;
b) Granting, extending, amending, supplementing, temporarily suspending, suspending and withdrawing licenses in the field of publishing, printing and distribution according to the provisions of law;
c) Confirm and manage publishing registration of publishers, registration of printing establishments, registration of printing activities for non-licensed products, registration of publishing activities, registration of electronic publishing activities, electronic publication distribution according to the provisions of law;
. d) Organize the appraisal of publications according to the provisions of law; organize the inspection of publications and manage the deposit of publications; organizing the ordering and delivery of publications to areas with extremely difficult socio-economic conditions, deep-lying, remote, mountainous, border and island areas; organize national publication fairs and manage the release of film publishing abroad in accordance with law;
dd) Decide to suspend, withdraw, confiscate, ban from circulation and destroy publications in violation of the law;
e) Issue, extend and revoke editing practice certificates in accordance with law;
g) Manage publishing support activities in accordance with the law;
h) Giving opinions on the appointment, dismissal or dismissal of the general director (director), editor-in-chief of the publishing house.”

d) Develop a mechanism for exchanging, coordinating, providing and sharing information between state agencies and press agencies;
d) Monitor, summarize and report to the Prime Minister on the provision of information, explanation and clarification of false information about Vietnam in various fields.”
Accordingly, the Ministry of Information and Communications is responsible for monitoring, synthesizing and reporting to the Prime Minister on the organization of providing information, explaining and clarifying false information about Vietnam in various fields.

The management of electronic game services, information content, and online information provisioning applications in accordance with law is the responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Communications in Vietnam.
Pursuant to the provisions of Clause 8, Clause 9, Article 2 of Decree 48/2022/ND-CP stipulating the responsibilities of the Ministry of Information and Communications in Vietnam in the management of electronic game services as follows:
"8. About advertising
a) Perform the tasks of advertising management in the press, in the network environment, on publications and integrated advertising on postal, telecommunications and information technology products and services as prescribed. under the law;
b) Granting, extending, amending, supplementing and withdrawing licenses for advertising channels and programs, for insurance companies; notify the publication of an ad transfer supplement for print insurance;
c) Receive notification of cross-border advertising service provision in Vietnam; receive and process notifications of illegal cross-border advertising and take preventive measures in accordance with law;
9, About electronic information
a) Manage electronic game services, information content, and information-providing applications on the network in accordance with law;
b) Grant, extend, amend, supplement, temporarily suspend, designate and revoke licenses and certificates for online video games and online electronic information in accordance with law. .
10. About grassroots information and district-level radio and television broadcasting activities
a) Guide, direct and organize the implementation of strategies, master plans and plans on grassroots information and radio and television broadcasting activities at district level;
b) Develop information and propaganda at grassroots level within the functions and tasks of the ministry and guide the implementation;
c) Guide the construction and operation of the grassroots information system and district radio and cable television;
d) Organize the provision of information and manage information content of the grassroots information system and district-level radio and television broadcasting nationwide.”
