In recent years, implementing Directive No. 56-CT/TW of the Politburo, term VIII and Conclusion No. 19-KL/TW of the Secretariat of the XI term on the Vietnam Lawyers Association, CP committees, CP organizations, authorities at all levels have paid attention to strengthening, building and developing the organization and operation of the Vietnam Lawyers Association at all levels.
The Vietnam Lawyers Association has had a positive development, the organizational system has been established from the central to the grassroots level, the number of members has increased, the quality has been improved;
Actively and effectively participate in the formulation and improvement of policies and laws, judicial reform and administrative reform; law dissemination and education; legal advice and assistance; social criticism, law enforcement supervision; fight against corruption, negativity and law violations..., make significant contributions to the cause of national construction and defense.

As for the tasks of CP committees and organizations in strengthening the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and further promoting the role of the Vietnam Lawyers Association in the new situation, in Directive 14-CT/TW in 2022, strengthening the Communist Party's leadership over the Vietnam Lawyers Association has the following provisions:
(1) CP committees and organizations at all levels deeply grasp and raise awareness of the position, role and responsibility of the Vietnam Lawyers Association - a socio-political-professional organization; operates under the leadership of the Communist Party, managed by the State, and is a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Communist Party of Vietnam and Government of Vietnam assign tasks to the Vietnam Lawyers Association in order to promote all levels of the Association and its members to actively contribute to the construction and development of the country, building a law-ruled socialist state of the people, by the people and for the people, independent protection, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.
(2) Continue to consolidate, consolidate and build the Vietnam Lawyers Association more and more strong in terms of organization. (5) The National Communist Party Committee continues to lead and promote the Vietnam Lawyers Association to actively and effectively participate in the research, proposals, criticisms and proposals to improve the law.
(6) The Government Communist Party Committee shall direct the Government to soon institutionalize the contents of this Directive; direct the ministries, branches and local authorities to create favorable conditions for the operation of the Bar Association at all levels; study the transfer of public services in accordance with the capabilities of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, implement the mechanism of job assignment and contract funding in accordance with the law.
(7) The CP Committee under the Central Government shall, according to their functions and tasks, lead and direct the implementation of this Directive; coordinate with the agency's Communist Party committee in building and consolidating the organization of the Lawyer's Association in their respective agencies and units, paying attention to creating favorable conditions for the Association's activities and its members.
(8) The CP Committees of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government shall strengthen their leadership and direct the activities of the Lawyers Association; assign leaders of the committee to be in charge of the Vietnam Lawyers Association. Periodically or when necessary, the standing committee at all levels listens to reports and directs the work of the Vietnam Lawyers Association. Regularly inspect and urge the Vietnam Lawyers Association at all levels to perform assigned tasks.
To lead the building and consolidation of the organization of the Vietnam Lawyers Association at all levels in accordance with local requirements and practices in accordance with the Communist Party's regulations and the State's laws; strengthen the assignment of tasks to all levels of the Vietnam Lawyers Association in accordance with the ability of each level of association to participate in local construction and development.
