The People's Inspection Board at the commune, ward, and commune-level town consists of members elected from the villages and residential groups at the communal level.
The standards for the People's Inspection Board at the commune, ward, and commune-level town are based on the provisions of Article 37 of the Law on Implementation of Grassroots Democracy 2022 which are clearly stated as follows:
- Possessing good ethical qualities, having prestige within the residential community, being healthy enough to fulfill duties, having knowledge about policies and laws, and voluntarily participating in the People's Inspection Board.
- Being a resident on the local area and not simultaneously serving as communal-level officials, non-specialized workers at the communal level, in villages, or residential groups.

Essential Information About People's Inspection Boards at the Communal Level
Based on the Law on Implementation of Grassroots Democracy 2022 and Decree 59/2023/ND-CP, the essential information about the People's Inspection Boards at the communal level is as follows:

- Request the local communal government, communal-level officials to provide relevant information and documents to serve the verification, inspection, and supervision.
- Review and verify specific cases upon the recommendations of citizens, residential communities.
- Recommend the Chairman of the communal People's Committee, communal-level officials, Village Head, Residential Group Leader to rectify the shortcomings identified through inspection, supervision; ensure the legitimate rights and interests of organizations, citizens; commend units and individuals with achievements. If detecting individuals with acts of violation, recommend the competent authority, organization for review and handling.
- Attend meetings of the communal People's Council, communal People's Committee involving the tasks of inspection, supervision of the People's Inspection Board.
- Receive recommendations, feedbacks from citizens, residential communities, and related organizations, individuals concerning the scope of inspection, supervision by the People's Inspection Board. |
What Activities Does the People's Inspection Board at the Communal Level Carry Out?
According to the provisions of Article 14 of Decree 59/2023/ND-CP, the activities of the People's Inspection Board at the communal level are clearly stated as follows:
| Developing Orientation, Content, and Activity Plan | - The People's Inspection Board at the commune, ward, commune-level town develops an activity plan to implement the duties and powers stipulated in Article 38 of the Law on Implementation of Grassroots Democracy 2022 by each quarter, every 06 months, annually, and for the term.
- The plan includes basic contents: purpose, requirements, content, time, budget, implementation organization, and other guaranteed conditions for the implementation of the Plan.
- The activity plan can be adjusted, supplemented to suit actual requirements or when unexpected issues arise.
- Based on the activity plan, the People's Inspection Board at the commune, ward, commune-level town builds a specific inspection, supervision plan to send to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Chairman of the communal People's Committee, and other subjects of inspection, supervision (if any) at least 05 working days before conducting inspection, supervision activities. || --- | --- || Working Methodology | - Receive information, feedbacks, recommendations directly or via the suggestion box from related organizations, individuals concerning the scope of inspection, supervision by the People's Inspection Board at the commune, ward, commune-level town.
- Work with related organizations, individuals to gather information, documents, analyze, compare, aggregate information and evaluate, clarify reported content, recommendations.
- Notify the results of inspection, supervision, verification to the agency, organization, individual that provided the report, recommendation in writing.
