Which Socio-Economic Issues Will Be Considered and Decided at the 6th Session of the National Assembly?
The socio-economic and state budget issues addressed at the 6th Session of the National Assembly include:
(1) Consideration and decision on socio-economic issues: Evaluation of the performance results of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget for 2023, and consideration and decision on the socio-economic development plan, state budget estimates, and central budget allocation plan for 2024; Review of mid-term evaluation reports on the implementation results of the 5-year plans for the period 2021 - 2025 regarding socio-economic development, economic restructuring, medium-term public investment, national finance, and public debt borrowing and repayment.
(2) Review of judicial work reports: Reports by the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy; Reports by the Government of Vietnam on anti-corruption, crime prevention and control, and law violation handling in 2023.
Additionally, the National Assembly will carry out thematic supervision on:
"The implementation of the National Assembly's Resolutions on the National Target Programs for the period 2021 - 2025 on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas until 2030."
- Consideration and decision on adjusting certain contents of Resolution 53/2017/QH14 dated November 24, 2017, of the National Assembly on the Feasibility Study Report on Land Acquisition, Compensation, Support, and Resettlement of Long Thanh International Airport Project.
- The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front reports on the opinions and recommendations of voters and the people sent to the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
- Review of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly's report on the supervision results of handling the voters' petitions sent to the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
- Review of the 2023 report on the results of citizen reception, petition processing, and resolution of complaints and denunciations.
- Review of the report on the legal document system review results according to Resolution No. 101/2023/QH15 on the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
- Conduct a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly.
- Review and approval of the 6th Session Resolution of the 15th National Assembly.
- Consideration and decision on several other important issues (if any).

What Responsibilities Do National Assembly Members Have When Participating in the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly?
According to the regulations in Article 3 of the National Assembly Session Rules issued with Resolution 71/2022/QH15, when participating in the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly in October 2023, National Assembly delegates have the following responsibilities:
(1) National Assembly members must fully participate in the National Assembly sessions and meetings, thoroughly study, discuss, and contribute opinions on the contents of the National Assembly session, and vote on issues within the tasks and powers of the National Assembly.
(2) If unable to attend the National Assembly sessions or meetings according to the program approved by the National Assembly, National Assembly members must:
- Report to the Head of the National Assembly Delegation to notify the Secretary-General of the National Assembly to compile a report to the Chairperson of the National Assembly if absent for up to 02 working days during the entire National Assembly session;
- Submit a written report stating the reasons to the Head of the National Assembly Delegation to notify the Secretary-General of the National Assembly to compile a report to the Chairperson of the National Assembly for decision if unable to attend the National Assembly session or absent for a total of more than 02 working days during the entire National Assembly session.
In case of absence due to health reasons or force majeure, the National Assembly member must report to the Head of the National Assembly Delegation to notify the Secretary-General of the National Assembly to compile a report to the Chairperson of the National Assembly;
- If absent to perform tasks of the National Assembly session as prescribed by law or the resolution of the National Assembly, the National Assembly member must report to the Head of the National Assembly Delegation and notify the Secretary-General of the National Assembly to compile a report to the Chairperson of the National Assembly.
The list of National Assembly members unable to attend the National Assembly session and absent from the meetings as prescribed in points a and b of this clause will be recorded in the minutes of the meetings and the minutes of the National Assembly session.
(3) National Assembly members must ensure accuracy and objectivity when answering interviews and providing information about the National Assembly session; do not disclose information and documents within the scope of state secrets, and the contents of the closed sessions of the National Assembly.
(4) National Assembly members are responsible for using and preserving the documents of the National Assembly session according to the provisions of the law; return documents that need to be retrieved upon request; use and preserve the National Assembly delegate badges, National Assembly delegate cards, and assigned equipment according to regulations.
