Police Officer Salary Table before the Wage Reform:

Based on the regulations in Section 1, Table 6 issued along with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP regarding the salary coefficient for police officers.

Currently, the statutory pay rate is 1,800,000 VND/month.

The salary of police officers is calculated as follows:

Police Officer Salary Table after the Wage Reform from July 1, 2024:

On November 10, with the majority of delegates in favor (94.33%), the National Assembly passed Resolution on the state budget estimates for 2024.

To be specific, the Resolution stated:

"From July 1, 2024, comprehensively reform the wage policy according to Resolution 27-NQ/TW of 2018 of the Seventh Central Committee Conference, twelfth tenure."

Thus, the National Assembly officially approved the wage reform from July 1, 2024, according to Resolution 27.

Additionally, in Resolution 27-NQ/TW of 2018, wage reform content is proposed to build 03 new salary tables for the military and police based on job positions, titles, and leadership positions to replace the current wage system; old salaries will be transferred to new salaries, ensuring they are not lower than current salaries, including:

- One salary table for military officers, professional police officers, non-commissioned officers (by title, position, and rank or grade);

- One salary table for professional soldiers, technical professionals in the police;

- One salary table for national defense workers, police workers (maintaining the wage correlation of the armed forces compared to administrative officials as present).

Thus, after the wage reform, there will be one new salary table for police officers based on their position, title, and rank or grade.

What allowances do police officers receive after the wage reform from July 1, 2024?

Based on Resolution 27-NQ/TW of 2018, the current allowance policies will be rearranged, ensuring the total allowance fund does not exceed 30% of the total wage fund as follows:

- Consolidate professional preferential allowance, professional responsibility allowance, and harmful, hazardous allowance (collectively called professional allowance) applied to officials and public employees in professions and jobs with working conditions higher than normal and with appropriate policies from the State (education and training, health care, courts, prosecution, civil judicial execution, inspection, examination, audit, customs, forestry, market management,...). Consolidate special allowance, attraction allowance, and long-term work allowance in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions into the allowance for work in particularly difficult areas.
