Based on Article 11 of the Internal Rules of the National Assembly Session issued with Resolution 71/2022/QH15, the content is as follows:
Opening and Closing of the National Assembly Session
1. The mid-year National Assembly session opens on May 20; the end-year National Assembly session opens on October 20. If May 20 or October 20 falls on a Friday or a public holiday, the opening day of the National Assembly session will be the next working day. In case of force majeure, where the National Assembly session cannot be organized at the mentioned times, the opening day of the National Assembly session will be decided by the National Assembly Standing Committee.
The opening day of the first session of each National Assembly term is decided by the Standing Committee of the previous National Assembly term no later than 60 days from the election day of the National Assembly deputies.
The opening day of the end-term National Assembly session and the extraordinary session of the National Assembly is decided by the National Assembly Standing Committee.

The opening day of the end-year National Assembly session will fall on October 20. However, October 20 falls on a Friday. Therefore, the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly will open on October 23, 2023.
To be specific, according to Announcement 2817/TTKQH-TK in 2023, the total working time of the National Assembly is 25 days.
Opening on October 23, 2023, and expected to close on the morning of November 29, 2023.
The National Assembly is scheduled to work for 03 Saturdays. The National Assembly will convene at the National Assembly House. The session proceeds in 02 phases:
- Phase 1: From October 23 to November 10, 2023.- Phase 2: From November 20 to November 29, 2023.

Responsibilities of National Assembly Deputies at the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly?
According to the provisions of Article 3 of the Internal Rules of the National Assembly Session issued with Resolution 71/2022/QH15, when participating in the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly held in October 2023, National Assembly deputies have the following responsibilities:
(1) National Assembly deputies have the responsibility to fully participate in National Assembly sessions and meetings, focus on research, engage in discussions, contribute opinions to the National Assembly session's content, and vote on issues within the National Assembly's duties and powers.
(2) In case of inability to attend the National Assembly session or meeting according to the program approved by the National Assembly, deputies have the following responsibilities:
- Report to the Head of the National Assembly Delegation to notify the General Secretary of the National Assembly to compile and report to the Chair of the National Assembly if absent for up to 02 working days throughout the National Assembly session;
- Submit a written report stating the reason to the Head of the National Assembly Delegation to notify the General Secretary of the National Assembly to compile and report to the Chair of the National Assembly for decision if unable to attend the National Assembly session or absent for more than 02 working days throughout the National Assembly session.
In case of absence due to health reasons or force majeure, deputies report to the Head of the National Assembly Delegation to notify the General Secretary of the National Assembly to compile and report to the Chair of the National Assembly;
- If absent to perform the tasks of the National Assembly session as prescribed by the law or National Assembly resolutions, deputies report to the Head of the National Assembly Delegation, and notify the General Secretary of the National Assembly to compile and report to the Chair of the National Assembly.
The list of National Assembly deputies unable to attend the session or absent from meetings as specified in points a and b of this clause is recorded in the meeting minutes and session minutes of the National Assembly.
(3) National Assembly deputies must ensure accuracy and objectivity when giving interviews and providing information about the National Assembly session; do not disclose information and documents classified as state secrets and the content of closed-door sessions of the National Assembly.
(4) National Assembly deputies have the responsibility to use and manage documents of the National Assembly session as prescribed by law; return documents that need to be recalled as required; use and manage the National Assembly deputy badge, National Assembly deputy card, and equipment provided as prescribed.
Dress Code for National Assembly Deputies at the Upcoming National Assembly Session in October 2023?
According to Article 28 of the Internal Rules of the National Assembly Session issued with Resolution 71/2022/QH15, the dress code for National Assembly deputies at the session is stipulated as follows:
Ensuring Order, Security, and Dignity at the National Assembly Session
1. National Assembly deputies, and other individuals invited to attend, must maintain order during the session; comply with the rules of the Internal Rules of the National Assembly session regarding the procedure and conduct of meetings; dress formally; use polite language and gestures; respect other National Assembly deputies, individuals, agencies, and organizations at the session; do not use personal audio-visual devices, and mobile phones in closed-door sessions and personnel-related meetings.
2. During the opening and closing ceremonies of the National Assembly session, oath-taking ceremonies, National Assembly deputies and guests wear suits, traditional long dresses, ethnic costumes, religious attire, or the formal uniform of the armed forces.
3. If a National Assembly deputy or another individual invited to attend does not comply with the provisions of Clause 1 of this Article, the Chair of the National Assembly or the Deputy Chair assigned to preside over the meeting will remind and request the National Assembly deputy or individual to strictly comply with the regulations.
Therefore, when attending the National Assembly sessions in general and specifically in the upcoming October 2023 session, National Assembly deputies must dress formally, including wearing suits, traditional long dresses, ethnic costumes, religious attire, or the formal uniform of the armed forces during the opening ceremony, closing ceremony, and oath-taking ceremony.
