How is the admission for on-duty Public Security soldiers at the intermediate level in 2023?
According to the 2023 Recruitment Guidelines of the People's Public Security, the admission process for on-duty Public Security soldiers at the intermediate level in 2023 is as follows:
(1) For direct admission methods:
- Subject and priority order for direct admission:
+ Candidates who are biological children of martyrs of the People's Public Security;
+ Candidates who are biological children of invalid Public Security officers (with a disability rate of 81% or more);
+ Candidates who are biological children of Heroes of the Armed Forces in the People's Public Security; candidates who are biological children of Labor Heroes in the People's Public Security;
+ Candidates who are biological children of citizens recognized as martyrs who died directly participating in or preventing dangerous acts from crimes defined in the Criminal Code, bravely performing urgent, dangerous work for security.
- Candidates who win prizes from third prize and above in Olympic competitions, science and technology contests, national or international excellent student selection contests (prioritize candidates by descending order of prize level until the quota is filled; if the quota is still exceeded, prioritize candidates who are biological children of Public Security officers), including:
+ Candidates who win prizes in national and international excellent student selection contests in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English, Chinese are directly admitted into one of the following: People's Security College I, People's Police College I, People's Police College II.
+ Candidates who win prizes in national or international excellent student selection contests in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or win prizes in national level science and technology contests at the high school level in one of the following fields: Chemistry, Embedded Systems, Material Science, Physics, and Astronomy are directly admitted into the intermediate level of Fire Prevention University, Logistics - Technical University of the People's Public Security.
(2) For the exam-based admission method:
Candidates are selected based on the total score of 03 exams belonging to the admission combination for the intermediate level of the People's Public Security and the average academic performance of 3 years of high school (grades 10, 11, 12), standardized to a scale of 30, rounded to 2 decimal places, plus priority points for categories, special allowances, and reward points as per the Public Security Ministry regulations. Candidates are selected in descending order of total points until the quota is filled. The calculation formula is as follows:
DXT = ((M1 + M2 + M3) + (L10 + L11 + L12) / 3) x 3 / 4 + KV + DT + DTh, where:
+ DXT: admission score
+ M1, M2, M3: scores of 03 subjects belonging to the admission combination for the intermediate level of the People's Public Security
+ L10, L11, L12: average scores of 3 years of high school (grades 10, 11, 12)
+ KV: regional priority points according to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs regulation
+ DT: category priority points according to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs regulation
+ DTh: special allowance points as per Public Security Ministry regulations.
For candidates who have completed high school cultural subjects in vocational intermediate programs: the average study score equivalent to the average academic performance score of 3 years of high school (grades 10, 11, 12) will be used to calculate admission to the People's Public Security schools. This is the average score of each high school cultural subject over the entire course, weighted by each subject coefficient, rounded to 2 decimal places, according to the formula:
DTB = ((DM1 x subject coefficient 1) + (DM2 x subject coefficient 2) + … + (DMn x subject coefficient n)) / (subject coefficient 1 + subject coefficient 2 + … + subject coefficient n).
- In the event of multiple candidates having the same admission score, if admitting all would exceed the quota, the following priority order will be considered:
+ First, candidates with a higher total score of the 03 subjects belonging to the admission combination for the intermediate level of the People's Public Security and the average academic performance score of 3 years of high school (grades 10, 11, 12), standardized to a scale of 30, will be selected in descending order until the quota is filled;
+ Second, candidates with higher marks in the preferred subject, where: Mathematics is the preferred subject for candidates applying with the combination of Mathematics + Physics + Chemistry, Mathematics + Physics + English, Mathematics + Chemistry + Biology; Literature is the preferred subject for combinations of Mathematics + Literature + History; Literature + History + Geography; English is the preferred subject for the combination of Mathematics + Literature + English; Chinese is the preferred subject for the combination of Mathematics + Literature + Chinese.
+ Third, if the quota is still exceeded, candidates with the highest average academic performance of 3 years of high school (grades 10, 11, 12) will be selected in descending order until the quota is filled.
How is the admission process for high school graduates, discharged public security soldiers, residents, and students from cultural schools at the intermediate level?
