According to Clause 1, Article 5 of Decree 138/2020/ND-CP, the subjects given priority points in the recruitment of the custom checker official rank at the Provincial Customs Department include:
Priority in recruitment of officials
1. Subjects and priority points in recruitment exams or selection:
a) Heroes of Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, war invalids, those entitled to policies similar to war invalids, category B war invalids: Given 7.5 points added to the result of round 2;
b) Ethnic minorities, military officers, police officers, professional soldiers, discharged soldiers, people doing cipher work who transfer to another sector, graduates of military officer training, graduates of reserve commanding officer training, children of martyrs, children of war invalids, children of patients, children of people entitled to policies similar to war invalids, children of category B war invalids, biological children of people who participated in resistance activities and were affected by toxic chemicals, children of Heroes of Armed Forces, children of Labor Heroes: Given 5 points added to the result of round 2;*
c) People who have completed military service, people who have participated in the People's Police, youth volunteer members: Given 2.5 points added to the result of round 2.
2. If a candidate belongs to multiple categories for priority points as stipulated in clause 1 of this Article, only the highest priority points will be added to the result of round 2.
Therefore, according to the regulation, ethnic minorities belong to the subjects given priority points in the recruitment exam for the custom checker official rank and are given 5 points added to the result of round 2.
What score must ethnic minorities achieve in round 2 to pass the recruitment exam for the custom checker official rank?
According to point a, clause 1 of Article 9 of Decree 138/2020/ND-CP, it is stipulated as follows:
Determining successful candidates in the recruitment exam for officials
1. Successful candidates in the recruitment exam for officials must meet the following conditions:
a) Achieve a test score in round 2 of at least 50 points. For interviews combined with written tests, the candidate must participate in both the interview and the written test;
b) Achieve a test score in round 2 plus priority points as stipulated in Article 5 of this Decree (if any) higher, taken from highest to lowest, within the recruitment quota of each job position.
*2. If there are two or more candidates with equal total scores as stipulated in point b, clause 1 of this Article for the last position, the candidate with the higher round 2 score will be selected; if still undetermined, the head of the recruiting authority will decide.
3. Unsuccessful candidates in the recruitment exam for officials will not have their test results from this exam carried forward to subsequent recruitment exams.
Therefore, ethnic minorities who pass the recruitment exam for the custom checker official rank must meet the following conditions:
- Achieve a test score in round 2 of at least 50 points. For interviews combined with written tests, the candidate must participate in both the interview and the written test;- Achieve a test score in round 2 plus priority points as stipulated in Article 5 of this Decree (if any) higher, taken from highest to lowest, within the recruitment quota of each job position.
Thus, ethnic minorities who pass the recruitment exam for the custom checker official rank need to achieve a round 2 test score of at least 50 points.
Note:
+ If there are two or more candidates with equal total scores as stipulated in point b, clause 1 of this Article for the last position, the candidate with the higher round 2 score will be selected; if still undetermined, the head of the recruiting authority will decide.
