What Are the Documents Required for Registration of Recruitment of Professional Servicemen, Defense Workers, Defense Public Employees in Vietnam?
Based on Article 17 of Circular 241/2017/TT-BQP, the dossier for registration of the recruitment of professional servicemen, defense workers, and defense public employees includes:
- Application for the recruitment of professional servicemen, defense workers, or defense public employees according to Form No. 2 of the Appendix issued together with Circular 241/2017/TT-BQP.
- A self-narrative résumé according to Form No. 3 of the Appendix issued together with Circular 241/2017/TT-BQP with confirmation from the commune-level People's Committee of the place of permanent residence within 30 days from the date of submission as per regulations.
- A copy of the birth certificate.
- A copy of the official diplomas, technical certificates, and transcripts of the entire study course. In case the diplomas and transcripts are issued by foreign institutions, they must be translated into Vietnamese and certified by the competent authority as per the law.
- A health certificate issued by the competent medical authority within 30 days from the date of submission as per regulations.
- Four 4cm x 6cm color photos.
For officials and public employees currently working at state agencies and organizations, in addition to the above documents, the following documents are required:
- A résumé for officials and public employees confirmed by the agency or organization where they work.
- An evaluation and comment on the work process and an opinion on the work transfer by the head of the agency or organization with competent authority managing the officials and public employees.
- Copies of decisions on salary classification and salary increase by the competent authority.
- A certified copy of the social insurance book by the competent authority.
Is It Possible to Recruit Professional Servicemen After Completing Military Service in 2024?
According to Article 14 of the Law on Professional Servicemen, Defense Workers, and Defense Public Employees 2015, which stipulates the selection and recruitment of professional servicemen, the specific terms are as follows:
Selection and Recruitment of Professional Servicemen
1. Eligible for selection:
a) Officers of the Vietnam People's Army in cases of organizational changes where the current position does not require officers;
b) Non-commissioned officers, soldiers whose active service term has expired, and those serving in the army reserve;
c) Defense workers and defense public employees.
2. Eligible for recruitment:
Vietnamese citizens not subject to the provisions in Clause 1 of this Article, residing on the territory of Vietnam, aged 18 years and above.
3. Conditions and standards for selection and recruitment include:
a) Having political qualities, ethics, health, clear background, and voluntary service in the army;
b) Holding suitable technical, occupational certificates corresponding to the position of professional servicemen.
4. The form of selection and recruitment is either by selection or examination. Those who graduate from full-time universities with excellent or outstanding grades or have high-level technical and occupational qualifications can be selected and recruited through selection.
As such, non-commissioned officers and soldiers whose active service term has expired can be selected as professional servicemen if they meet the following conditions:
- Possessing political qualities, ethics, health, clear background, and voluntarily serving in the army.
- Holding suitable technical, occupational certificates corresponding to the position of professional servicemen.
