On December 1, 2022, the Office of the Government of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 8056/VPCP-KGVX in 2022 regarding the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2023. Specifically:
According to the proposal by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs on the Lunar New Year holiday plan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam Vu Duc Dam agreed with the plan for a 7-day Lunar New Year holiday:
From January 20, 2023, to the end of January 26, 2023 (from December 29, Year of the Tiger, to the 5th day of January, Year of the Cat).
At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister also approved the National Day holiday plan from September 1, 2023, to the end of September 4, 2023.
Note: Agencies and units implementing the above holiday schedule must reasonably arrange working departments to ensure continuous work resolution and good service to organizations and the public.
Other weekly, holiday, and Tet leave schedules will be implemented according to the Labor Code.
