- Grade 3 preschool teacher - Code V.07.02.26
- Grade 2 preschool teacher - Code V.07.02.25;
- Grade 1 preschool teacher - Code V.07.02.24.

Pursuant to Chapter II of the Joint Circular No. 20/2015/TTLT-BGDDT-BNV stipulating standards for training and fostering qualifications for professional titles of preschool teachers, including:
- Having a level 2 foreign language proficiency (level 1 for grade IV preschool teachers) or having an ethnic language certificate for job positions that require the use of ethnic languages;
- Have a computer skill level that meets the standards of basic information technology skills
- Have a certificate of training for preschool teachers by grade
However, Circular 01/2021/TT-BGDDT issued on February 2, 2021, effective from March 20, 2022 has replaced Joint Circular No. 20/2015/TTLT- BGDDT-BNV, Circular 01/2021/TT-BGDDT has removed foreign language and informatics certificates from standards on training and retraining qualifications for preschool teachers.
What are the standards of training and retraining qualifications and standards of professional competence of preschool teachers in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 3 of Circular 01/2021/TT-BGDDT, Article 4 of Circular 01/2021/TT-BGDDT and Article 5 of Circular 01/2021/TT-BGDDT stipulating training and retraining standards of professional competence of preschool teachers as follows:
For class 3 preschool teachers:
- Standards of training and retraining qualifications
+ Having a college degree in pedagogy of preschool education or higher;
+ Possessing a certificate of training according to the professional title standards of a class 3 preschool teacher (for preschool teachers newly recruited as a grade 3 preschool teacher, the certificate must be obtained within 36 months from the date of admission).
- Standards of professional competence
+ Understand the guidelines, guidelines, policies and laws of the Party and State, regulations and requirements of sectors and localities on early childhood education and implement them into assigned tasks;
+ To properly implement the preschool education program;
+ Ability to coordinate with colleagues, children's parents and the community in child rearing, care and education;
+ Know how to effectively manage, use, preserve and preserve assets, facilities, equipment of the group/class or school;
+ Ability to apply information technology in performing the tasks of a grade 3 preschool teacher and be able to use foreign languages or ethnic minority languages in a number of specific assigned tasks.
For class 2 preschool teachers:
Standards of training and retraining qualifications:
+ Possess a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or higher; or have a college degree in preschool education and a bachelor's degree in educational management;
+ Having a certificate of training according to the professional title standards of a class 2 preschool teacher.
- Standards of professional competence
+ Firmly grasp the guidelines, guidelines, policies and laws of the Party and State, regulations and requirements of branches and localities on early childhood education and effectively implement the assigned tasks;
+ To effectively implement the preschool education program; proactively and flexibly adjust the child rearing, care and education plan to suit the actual conditions of the school and the locality;
+ Actively organize and promptly coordinate with colleagues, parents or guardians of children and the community in child rearing, care and education;
+ Capable of applying information technology in performing the tasks of grade II preschool teachers and capable of using foreign languages or ethnic minority languages in a number of specific assigned tasks;
+ Being recognized as a grassroots emulation soldier or a good teacher at school level or higher;
+ Officials who take the exam or consider for promotion to the professional title of grade 2 preschool teacher (code V.07.02.25) must have held the professional title of grade 3 preschool teacher (code V.07.02. 26) or equivalent for full 09 (nine) years or more (excluding the probationary period), up to the deadline for submitting the application for examination or consideration for promotion.
For class 1 preschool teachers:
- Standards of training and retraining qualifications
+ Possess a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or higher; or have a college degree in preschool education and a bachelor's degree in educational management;
+ Having a certificate of training according to the professional title standards of a class 1 preschool teacher.
- Standards of professional competence
+ Actively and actively implement and propagate, mobilize and guide colleagues to implement the guidelines, guidelines, policies and laws of the Party and State, regulations and requirements of the industry and locality on preschool education on assigned tasks;
+ Creative and flexible implementation; sharing experiences, guiding and supporting colleagues to implement preschool education programs and plans;
+ Actively and actively share experiences, guide and support colleagues, parents and guardians of children and the community in child care, nurturing and education; capable of performing the duties of a core teacher;
+ Having the ability to apply information technology in performing the tasks of a grade I preschool teacher and being able to use foreign languages or ethnic minority languages in a number of specific assigned tasks;
+ Being recognized as a grassroots emulation soldier or a good teacher at the district level or higher;
+ Officials who take the exam or consider for promotion to the professional title of grade 1 preschool teacher (code V.07.02.24) must have held the professional title of grade 2 preschool teacher (code V.07.02. 25) or equivalent for a full 06 (six) years or more, up to the expiration date of the deadline for submitting the application for exam registration or consideration for promotion.
