In case they hold a master's degree relevant to the recruitment requirements, they will receive 85% of the 2nd tier salary of the specialist category and equivalent; commune-level officials in highland, border, or island areas will receive 100% of the starting salary based on their training level during the probationary period. The probationary period is not included in the time for considering salary step increases based on tenure.

If the probationary employee meets the official's requirements, the Chairman of the commune-level People's Committee will propose in writing to the Chairman of the district-level People's Committee or the competent authority as per the local official management hierarchy to issue a decision recognizing the end of the probationary period and classify the salary for the recruited official.
