How to Evaluate Elementary Students in the Academic Year 2022-2023 and Apply it in 2023-2024?

Based on the provisions of Article 2 of Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT, it is stipulated as follows:

The evaluation of elementary students is carried out according to the following schedule:

1. From the academic year 2020-2021 for grade 1.

2. From the academic year 2021-2022 for grade 2.

3. From the academic year 2022-2023 for grade 3.

4. From the academic year 2023-2024 for grade 4.

5. From the academic year 2024-2025 for grade 5.

According to the above regulations, the evaluation of elementary students in 2023 is as follows:

- For elementary students in grades 1, 2, and 3 in the academic year 2022-2023 and in the academic year 2023-2024, Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT will be applied.

- For elementary students in grade 4 in the academic year 2022-2023, Circular 30/2014/TT-BGDDT will be applied, and in the academic year 2023-2024, Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT will be applied.

- For elementary students in grade 5 in the academic year 2022-2023 and the academic year 2023-2024, Circular 30/2014/TT-BGDDT will be applied.

How to Evaluate Elementary Students at the End of the Academic Year 2022-2023?

Based on the provisions of Article 9 of the Regulation attached to Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT, Article 13 of the Regulation attached to Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT, and Article 16 of the Regulation issued with Circular 30/2014/TT-BGDDT (amended by Clause 9 Article 1 of Circular 22/2016/TT-BGDDT), the end-of-year evaluation for elementary students in the academic year 2022-2023 is as follows:

For grades 1, 2, and 3:

Excellent Completion

- Criteria: Students who have results assessing subjects and educational activities at the Excellent Completion level; competencies and qualities at the Good level; year-end periodic test scores of subjects reaching 9 points or higher.

- Reward: Award the title of Excellent Student for those evaluated to have educational results at the level of Excellent Completion.

Good Completion:

- Criteria: Students who do not meet the Excellent Completion level, but the assessment results of subjects and educational activities reach the Good Completion level; competencies and qualities at the Good level; year-end periodic test scores of subjects reaching 7 points or higher.

- Reward: Award the title of Exemplary Student in academic achievement and practice to those evaluated to have educational results at the Good Completion level, with outstanding achievements in at least one subject or significant progress in at least one competence or quality; recognized by the class.

Completion:

- Criteria: Students who do not meet the Excellent Completion or Good Completion levels but have assessment results of subjects and educational activities at the Good Completion or Completion levels; competencies and qualities at the Good or Achieved levels; year-end periodic test scores of subjects reaching 5 points or higher.

Not Completed:

- Students who do not meet the above criteria.

For grades 4 and 5:

Students who Complete Outstandingly in Learning and Training

- Criteria: Assessment results of subjects achieving Good Completion, competencies, and qualities at Good levels; year-end periodic test scores of subjects reaching 9 points or higher.

- Reward: Award a certificate of merit.
