Based on the professional salary table of the court and procuracy branches promulgated together with Resolution 730/2004/NQ-UBTVQH11, the salary coefficient of judges and court clerks is applied as follows:
- For judges of the Supreme People's Court, the salary of civil servants A3 is applied, with a salary coefficient ranging from 6.2 - 8.0.
- For judges of provincial People's Courts (Hanoi City, Ho Chi Minh City, class 1 cities and the remaining provinces and centrally-run cities), the salary of class A2 civil servants with a salary coefficient from 4.4 - 6.78 shall be applied.
- For judges of district-level People's Courts (provincial cities are class 2 and class 3 cities, districts of Hanoi City, districts of Ho Chi Minh City and the remaining districts and towns), the salary of class A1 civil servants with a salary coefficient from 2.34 - 4.98 shall be applied.

What policies are judges entitled to currently in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 75 of the Law on Organization of People's Courts 2014, there are the following provisions:
Regimes and policies for judges
1. The State shall adopt priority policies on salaries and allowances for judges.
2. Judges shall be issued costumes and Judge identification cards to perform their duties.
3. Judges are guaranteed to respect honor and prestige; be protected in the performance of official duties in Vietnam and in case of necessity.
4. Judges shall be trained and fostered to improve their court qualifications and profession.
5. It is strictly forbidden to obstruct, threaten or infringe upon the life, health, honor and dignity of Judges and their relatives.
6. Judges shall be honored and rewarded in accordance with the law on emulation and reward.
7. Salary and allowance regimes; costume samples, allocation and use of costumes, Judges' identity cards shall be prescribed by the National Assembly Standing Committee at the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court.
Accordingly, the current regime and policies for Judges include:
- The State shall adopt priority policies on salaries and allowances for judges.

- Judges are guaranteed respect for honor and prestige; be protected in the performance of official duties in Vietnam and in case of necessity.
- Judges are trained and fostered to improve their qualifications and skills in the Court.
- Acts of obstructing, threatening, infringing upon the life, health, honor and dignity of Judges and their relatives are strictly prohibited.
- Judges shall be honored and rewarded in accordance with the law on emulation and reward.
- Wages and allowances; costume samples, allocation and use of costumes, Judges' identity cards shall be prescribed by the National Assembly Standing Committee at the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court.
What are tasks that judges are not allowed to do tin Vietnam?
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 77 of the Law on Organization of People's Courts in Vietnam 2014, there are regulations on the tasks that judges are not allowed to do as follows:
- Acts which cadres and civil servants are prohibited by law from taking.
- Providing consultancy to the accused, defendants, involved parties or other procedure participants, making the settlement of cases or other matters unlawful.
- Illegally interfering in the settlement of cases or taking advantage of their influence to influence persons responsible for settling cases.
- Bringing case files or documents in case files out of the premises of their agencies, unless for performing their assigned duties or approved by competent persons.
- Receiving outside prescribed places defendants, involved parties or other procedure participants in cases which they are competent to settle.
