When is the expected date of the high school graduation exam in Vietnam in 2023?
On January 30, 2023, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that it planned to hold the 2023 high school graduation exam.
Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training expects the high school graduation exam in 2023 to take place in the first half of July.
According to that, the Ministry is planning to strengthen questions and contents related to practical application in some subjects.
More information from the Ministry of Education and Training is expected that the content of the high school graduation exam in 2023 is in the high school program, mainly in grade 12.
But the exam will reasonably strengthen some content related to practical application in some subjects to gradually approach the orientation of competency assessment in accordance with the requirements of developing the competence and quality of learners of the 2018 General Education Program. In fact, the exam questions for 2021 and 2022 also appeared with these contents.

In Clause 4, Article 1, Draft 2 of the Circular amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulation on high school graduation exam promulgated together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT of Vietnam, it is proposed that candidates take the national high school exam. Students in 2023 are not allowed to leave the exam room during the time of taking the multiple-choice test:

4. To amend and supplement points k and m, Clause 4, Article 14 as follows:
“k) Do not leave the examination room during the duration of the multiple-choice test. For the essay exam, candidates are only allowed to leave the exam room after 2 thirds of the exam time is over; must submit the exam with the exam questions and scratch paper to the examiner before leaving the examination room and must stay in the waiting room for the rest of the exam period;"

Currently, the Draft 2 Circular amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulation on high school graduation exam promulgated together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT is being consulted by the Ministry of Education and Training. .
This regulation is expected to change many contents about the organization of the high school exam in 2023.
According to that, on the content of the draft bonus points, the regulations that candidates are prioritized are 0.25 and 0.5 points compared to the old regulations.
Specifically, this revised regulation adjusts the group of subjects subject to 0.25 bonus points, as follows:
Kinh people, foreigners residing in Vietnam have at least 2/3 of the time of high school education at high schools that are not located in the districts of central-affiliated cities and have permanent residence for 3 years. or higher during the period of high school education (up to the exam date) in extremely difficult communes, border communes, safe communes in investment zones of program 135; particularly difficult communes in coastal flat areas and islands; communes area I, II, III; communes with extremely difficult villages in ethnic minority areas and mountainous areas according to current regulations of the Prime Minister.
At the same time, the draft stipulating that one of the subjects eligible for the plus 0.5 bonus points is also amended and supplemented as:
Ethnic minority people who are studying at boarding general schools for ethnic minorities or general schools that are not located in urban districts of centrally run cities and have permanent residence in extremely difficult communes, border communes, communes in safety zones under investment program 135; particularly difficult communes in coastal flat areas and islands; communes area I, II, III; communes with extremely difficult villages in ethnic minority areas and mountainous areas according to current regulations of the Prime Minister.
