Standards and conditions to apply for recruitment
Applicants for the position of official, in addition to the conditions stipulated in the Law on officials, must also ensure the following standards and conditions at the time of application:
1. Regarding present political status, political history of themselves and their families: Must not violate regulations on internal political protection work of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
2. Regarding professional qualifications: Must have a university degree or higher in the appropriate specialization required for the position.
In case the position does not require a university degree or in locations where other specialized job positions face difficulties in recruitment, the recruiting unit shall report to the Supreme People's Procuracy for review and decision.

According to Article 8 of the Recruitment Regulations for officials of the People's Procuracy issued along with Decision 401/QD-VKSTC 2021, the regulation is as follows:
Priority in recruitment
1. Subjects and priority points in recruitment:
a) Heroes of the armed forces, Heroes of labor, war invalids, those entitled to policies like war invalids, type B war invalids: an additional 7.5 points to the recruitment test results, the evaluation results in round 2 as stipulated in Article 13, Article 15 of this Regulation;
b) Ethnic minorities, army officers, police officers, professional soldiers, demobilized personnel, individuals working in specialized cryptographic tasks, trainees graduating from reserve officer training, graduates of training as chief commander of the military command board at the communal level for the grassroots military sector who have been conferred the rank of reserve officers and have registered in the reserve officer list, children of martyrs, children of war invalids, children of those entitled to policies like war invalids, children of type B war invalids, natural children of individuals involved in the resistance contaminated with toxic chemicals, children of heroes of the armed forces, children of labor heroes: an additional 05 points to the test results stipulated in Article 13, Article 15 of this Regulation in round 2;
c) Individuals who have completed military service, public security service, youth volunteers; individuals whose biological or adoptive parents are recognized by law as officials and employees with indefinite contracts in the People’s Procuracy sector (including those who have retired with social insurance benefits or passed away): an additional 2.5 points to the test results as stipulated in Article 13, Article 15 of this Regulation in round 2.

The following subjects will be prioritized in the recruitment of officials of the People's Procuracy:
(1) Heroes of the armed forces, Heroes of labor, war invalids, those entitled to policies like war invalids, type B war invalids;
(2) Ethnic minorities, army officers, police officers, professional soldiers, demobilized personnel;
(3) Individuals working in specialized cryptographic tasks, trainees graduating from reserve officer training, graduates of training as chief commander of the military command board at the communal level for the grassroots military sector who have been conferred the rank of reserve officers and have registered in the reserve officer list;

What is the authority of the Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy in the recruitment of officials for the Procuracy sector?
According to Clause 2 of Article 9 of the Recruitment Regulations for officials of the People's Procuracy issued along with Decision 401/QD-VKSTC 2021, the authority of the Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy in the recruitment of officials for the Procuracy sector is as follows:
- Establishing the Recruitment Council of the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Recruitment Supervision Board within the Procuracy sector;
- Approving the results of the recruitment exams or evaluations of the Supreme People's Procuracy, the High-level People's Procuracies, and the Provincial People's Procuracies for the Director of the Personnel and Organization Department, the Chief Procurator of the High-level People's Procuracies, the Chief Procurator of the Provincial People's Procuracies to decide on recruitment;
- Deciding on the recruitment of officials for units under the Supreme People's Procuracy;
- Deciding on the recruitment of officials without going through exams or evaluations as stipulated in Section 4 Chapter III of the Recruitment Regulations for officials of the People's Procuracy issued along with Decision 401/QD-VKSTC 2021;
- Deciding on the recruitment and assignment of officials to work at various levels of the People's Procuracies when necessary.
