As of now, there are no documents regulating changes to the police officer salary table from January 01 to June 30, 2024. Therefore, the police officer salary table from January 01 to June 30, 2024, will still follow the current salary table with no changes.
In Section 1, Table 6 issued with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP, it regulates the salary coefficient of the People's Police officers.
Currently, the statutory pay rate is 1.800.000 VND/month.

How will the salary and allowances of police officers change from July 01, 2024?
From July 01, 2024, police officers will have a separate salary table constructed based on their position, title, and rank.
When implementing salary reform from July 01, 2024, the police officer's salary will be designed as follows:

- Concurrent duty allowances, excess seniority allowances, regional allowances, job responsibility allowances, mobility allowances, special allowances, and professional seniority allowances for the army and police.- Combine special allowances, attraction allowances, and long-term working allowances in special socio-economic hardship areas into allowances for working in particularly difficult areas.

Article 22 of the Law on People's Police 2018 stipulates the promotion of police officer ranks as follows:

1. Subjects for rank promotion:
a) Students enjoying living expenses at People's Police schools, upon graduation, will be promoted to ranks as follows:
University: Second Lieutenant;
Vocational: Sergeant;
Outstanding graduates will be promoted higher by one rank;
b) Officials and public employees or graduates from educational institutions, vocational educational institutions recruited into the People's Police will be ranked based on their training level, work experience, assigned tasks, and salary level;
c) Conscripts will be promoted to the initial rank of Private.
