Pursuant to Article 40 of Decree 39/2022/ND-CP stipulates as follows:
“Article 40. Reporting regime of the Government, Prime Minister and members of the Government
1. The Government shall report on its work to the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee and the State President in accordance with law; to make ad hoc and thematic reports at the request of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the State President.
a) The Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister shall assign a ministry or agency to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant agencies in, making reports;
b) The Government Office shall verify and coordinate with the ministries and agencies in charge to finalize the report and submit it to the Deputy Prime Minister in charge and the Prime Minister for consideration and decision;
c) For ad-hoc and thematic reports at the request of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the President and the Prime Minister may authorize a member of the Government to sign the report on behalf of the Government. and take responsibility before the Government and the Prime Minister for the content of the report.
2. The Prime Minister shall report on work, give explanations and answer questions to the National Assembly or Standing Committee of the National Assembly or assign or authorize a Deputy Prime Minister or Government member to report and explain present, answer questions when necessary, appropriate or absent.
The Prime Minister assigned the Government Office to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies in, drafting, finalizing reports, explaining and answering questions, and submitting them to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. Pursuant to Article 41 of Decree 39/2022/ND-CP stipulates as follows:
“Article 41. Information and reports serving the direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister
1. Ministries, agencies and localities shall report to the Government and Prime Minister as follows:
a) Periodic reports (quarterly, 06-monthly, annually) summarizing the situation of work, management, administration, results of implementation of work programs of the Government, the Prime Minister and the Government's tasks assigned by the Government or the Prime Minister; Proposals and recommendations (if any):
- Quarterly reports are sent no later than the 15th of the last month of the quarter, and 6-month reports are sent no later than June 15 of each year to the Government Office and relevant agencies.
- Annual report to the Government Office and relevant agencies by December 15 every year;
b) Thematic reports, ad hoc reports at the request of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister;
c) The draft report of the Government, the Prime Minister to submit to the leading agencies of the Party, the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the State President as assigned by the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister; government.

Pursuant to Article 42 of Decree 39//2022/ND-CP stipulates as follows:
“Article 42. Reporting at Government meetings
1. Every month, the Minister of Planning and Investment shall report on the socio-economic situation and propose solutions to direct and administer the implementation of the planned tasks. The Minister, the Chairman of the Government Office shall report on the implementation of the work program and the tasks assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister.
2. Quarterly, the Government Inspector General shall report on anti-corruption and anti-corruption work, inspection work, and settlement of complaints and denunciations. The Minister of Home Affairs reports on administrative reform work. The Minister of Justice shall report on the development of laws and ordinances and documents detailing the implementation of laws and ordinances.
3. At the regular Government meetings in June and December, the Minister, the Chairman of the Government Office shall report to review the direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister.
4. Other thematic and ad hoc reports under the direction of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister.”
