Admission rules in Vietnamese university and college enrollment in preschool education from July 22, 2022?
Pursuant to Article 20 of the Regulation promulgated together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT of Vietnam stipulates:
“Article 20. Recruitment and application processing according to the general plan
1. Training institutions can organize admissions according to their own methods and criteria, or voluntarily cooperate in groups to organize recruitment according to common methods and criteria. The Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam guides the admissions schedule and supports the processing of requests on the system.
2. After the deadline for aspiration registration on the system, the training institution downloads information and data from the system to serve admissions, including the aspiration registration data and the results of the high school graduation exam, the high school results of the candidates who apply to the training institution according to the enrollment methods.
3. Admission rules
a) The matriculation score is determined so that the number of recruits according to each discipline or training program is consistent with the number of announced quotas, but not lower than the entry threshold;
b) For a training major (or a training program) according to a method and combination of subjects, all candidates are considered and selected equally according to their points of consideration regardless of the priority order of their registration aspirations, except for the case specified at Point c of this Clause;
c) In case many candidates have the same score at the end of the list, the training institution may use the secondary criterion of aspiration order (to select candidates with a higher aspiration order);
d) The use of priority points for areas and subjects for recruitment must be consistent and synchronized with the provisions on priority points specified in Article 7 of this Regulation.
4. After each admission cycle, the training institution uploads to the system a list of candidates expected to be eligible for admission to the disciplines and training programs (according to the enrollment methods). The aspiration processing system will automatically remove from the list of low aspirations of candidates who are eligible for multiple aspirations, returning the list of candidates expected to be selected according to the highest aspirations.
5. Based on the results of the request processing, the training institution repeats the selection process in the next cycle, adjusting the matriculation scores to match the quota within the prescribed time limit. In the final cycle, the training institution decides the admission score to the disciplines and training programs (according to the enrollment methods) and uploads the list of (official) candidates who are eligible for admission.
On the basis of the final aspiration processing results, the training institution shall decide on the list of successful candidates for the training courses and programs.
6. The training institution announces the matriculation scores (and the conditions and sub-criteria if any) for the training disciplines and programs according to the enrollment methods; organize for candidates to look up individual admission results on the website of the training institution (or of the group of training institutions that coordinate in the selection).”
Accordingly, the training institutions themselves organize the recruitment examination according to their own methods and criteria for admission, or the recruitment according to the general methods and criteria of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam. The training institution will announce the admission scores to the majors according to the selection method on the website of the training institution.
Can candidates who have confirmed admission at one training institution participate in another one in Vietnam?
Can candidates who have confirmed their admission at one training institution participate in the admission examination at another training institution in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 21 of the Regulation promulgated together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT in Vietnam stipulates:
“Article 21. Notification of results and confirmation of admission
1. The training institution sends the admission notice to the successful candidates, clearly stating the necessary procedures for the candidate upon admission and the admission method of the candidate.
2. Candidates confirm admission by online form on the system, before enrolling at the training institution.
3. For candidates who do not confirm admission within the specified time limit:
a) If there is no legitimate reason, the candidate will be considered to refuse admission and the training institution has the right not to accept;
b) If due to illness or accident, there is a certificate from a hospital of a district or higher district or a natural disaster certified by the People's Committee of the district or higher, the training institution considers and decides to accept the candidate. study or reserve enrollment results for candidates to study later;
c) If it is caused by an error or mistake made by an admission officer or an individual candidate, the training institution shall proactively coordinate with relevant individuals and organizations to review the evidence and decide on the application. determine the admission of candidates to the school or reserve the enrollment results for candidates to enter later.
4. Candidates who have confirmed their admission at a training institution are not allowed to participate in the selection examination elsewhere or in additional examinations, unless otherwise permitted by the training institution.”
Thus, candidates who have confirmed admission at one training institution will still be considered for admission at another institution if allowed by the original training institution that confirmed their admission in Vietnam.
Additional admission requirements for university and college admissions in early childhood education in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 22 of the Regulation promulgated together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT of Vietnam stipulates:
“Article 22. Organization of registration and selection of additional batches
1. Based on the enrollment quota and the number of successful candidates who have confirmed their admission to the disciplines and training programs, the enrollment council of the training institution shall consider and decide to consider additional enrollments. The training institution shall announce the recruitment examination plan, recruitment examination method and registration form for additional rounds; conditions for admission to disciplines and training programs according to each recruitment method, but not lower than the conditions for matriculation in the previous batch.
2. Candidates who have not yet been admitted or who have been admitted but have not yet confirmed their admission to any place can apply for additional admissions according to the plan and guidance of the training institution.
3. At the end of each round of admissions, the training institution publishes on its website the matriculation scores (and the conditions and sub-criteria if any) into the disciplines and training programs according to the enrollment methods; organize for candidates to look up individual admission results; send admission notices and instructions to successful candidates for admission.”
Accordingly, the additional admission requirements of the training disciplines and programs must not be lower than the matriculation conditions announced in the previous round.
Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT of Vietnam will come into force from July 22, 2022.
