According to the Appendix issued with Decree 30/2020/ND-CP, the general regulations on the format and presentation techniques of administrative documents are as follows:
- Paper size: A4 size (210 mm x 297 mm).
- Presentation style: According to the length of the A4 size. In cases where the document content includes tables or charts that are not made into separate appendices, the document can be presented in a landscape format.
- Page margins: 20 - 25 mm from the top and bottom edges, 30 - 35 mm from the left edge, and 15 - 20 mm from the right edge.
- Font: Vietnamese Times New Roman font, Unicode character set according to the Vietnamese Standard TCVN 6909:2001, in black color.
- Font size and style: Specifically regulated for each format element.
- Positions for presenting format components: Implemented according to Section IV, Part I of this Appendix.
- Page numbers: Numbered starting from 1, using Arabic numerals, font size 13 to 14, upright style, centered horizontally in the upper margin of the document, excluding the first-page number.
How to present sections, chapters, parts, sub-sections, articles, clauses, and points in administrative documents?
According to the Appendix issued with Decree 30/2020/ND-CP, the presentation of sections, chapters, parts, sub-sections, articles, clauses, and points in administrative documents is as follows:
- The words "Section," "Chapter," and the ordinal numbers of sections and chapters are presented on a separate line, centered, in lowercase letters, font size 13 to 14, upright style, bold. The ordinal numbers of sections and chapters use Roman numerals. The titles of sections and chapters are presented immediately below, centered, in uppercase letters, font size 13 to 14, upright style, bold.
- The words "Part," "Sub-section," and the ordinal numbers of parts and sub-sections are presented on a separate line, centered, in lowercase letters, font size 13 to 14, upright style, bold. The ordinal numbers of parts and sub-sections use Arabic numerals. The titles of parts and sub-sections are presented immediately below, centered, in uppercase letters, font size 13 to 14, upright style, bold.
- The word "Article," ordinal numbers, and titles of articles are presented in lowercase letters, indented 1 cm or 1.27 cm. The ordinal numbers of articles use Arabic numerals, followed by a period (.); font size equivalent to the text part, upright style, bold.
- The ordinal numbers of clauses within each section use Arabic numerals, followed by a period (.); font size equivalent to the text part, upright style. If the clause has a title, the ordinal numbers and titles of the clause are presented on a separate line, in lowercase letters, font size equivalent to the text part, upright style, bold.
- The ordinal numbers of the points within each clause use Vietnamese alphabets in the order of the Vietnamese alphabet, followed by a closing parenthesis, in lowercase letters, font size equivalent to the text part, upright style.
