Police Salary Table from January 01 to June 30, 2024
Currently, there is still no document stipulating changes in the salary table for police officers from January 01 to June 30, 2024. Therefore, the salary table for police officers from January 01 to June 30, 2024 will continue to follow the current salary table without any changes.
In Section 1, Table 6 issued together with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP, the salary coefficients for public security officers are regulated.
Currently, the statutory pay rate is 1,800,000 VND/month
The salaries of public security officers are calculated by the following formula:

What is the salary and allowance table for police officers from July 01, 2024?
From July 01, 2024, police officers will have a separate salary table built according to rank, title, and military rank or grade.
When implementing salary reform from July 01, 2024, the salary of police officers will be designed according to the following formula:

Additionally, the salary of police officers after performing salary reform will increase as follows:
- Increase by 7% per year from 2025 until the lowest salary is equal to or higher than the minimum salary of Region I of the enterprise sector.
- Income from bonuses (if any), with the bonus fund being about 10% of the total annual salary fund, excluding allowances.
From July 01, 2024, the military's allowances will change as follows:

- Eliminate seniority allowances (except for the army, police, and cryptographic positions to ensure salary correlation with officials); leadership position allowances (as leadership positions in the political system have job position salaries); allowances for party, socio-political organizations' work; allowances for public duties (as it has been included in the basic salary); allowances for hazardous and dangerous work (as the working conditions that have hazardous and dangerous elements have been included in occupational allowances).

Article 22 of the 2018 Law on Public Security stipulates the consideration for rank promotions for police officers as follows:

1. Subjects for rank promotions:
a) Students receiving subsistence allowances at public security schools, upon graduation, will be promoted to the following ranks:
University: Second Lieutenant;
Intermediate: Sergeant;
Outstanding graduates will be promoted to a rank higher by one level;
b) Officials and public employees or graduates from universities and vocational education institutions recruited into the Public Security, based on the level of education, work process, assigned tasks, and salary level, will be promoted to the corresponding rank;
