The Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam stated that in 2025, the Government of Vietnam will implement wage policy reform for the public sector according to Resolution 27-NQ/TW of 2018 of the Central Committee starting from July 1, 2024.

At the same time, the Government of Vietnam will continue to adjust the regional minimum wage and wage policy for the enterprise sector as stipulated.

To ensure uniformity in managing the team of public employees working in public preschool, general education institutions, and special public schools, the Ministry of Education and Training has agreed with the Ministry of Home Affairs on the appointment and salary classification according to the career titles for public employees performing support tasks. Public employees engaged in school health care, meeting the standards of career titles for doctors, physician assistants as stipulated in Joint Circular No. 10/2015/TTLT-BYT-BNV dated May 27, 2015, by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Home Affairs, regulating the code, and standards of career titles for doctors, preventive medicine doctors, and physician assistants, will be considered for appointment and salary classification according to the career titles of doctors and physician assistants.

According to clause 1 of Article 13 in Joint Circular 10/2015/TTLT-BYT-BNV, it stipulates the salary classification for doctors as public employees in public hospitals as follows:

Salary Classification

1. The career titles of doctor, preventive medicine doctor, and physician assistant stipulated in this Joint Circular shall apply the professional Payroll for officials and public employees in the State's public service provider units (Table 3) issued together with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004, of the Government of Vietnam on wage policies for officials and public employees and the armed forces, as follows:

a) The career title of senior doctor (Grade I), the career title of senior preventive medicine doctor (Grade I) shall apply the salary coefficient for public employee type A3 (group A3.1), with a salary coefficient from 6.20 to 8.00;

b) The career title of principal doctor (Grade II), the career title of principal preventive medicine doctor (Grade II) shall apply the salary coefficient for public employee type A2 (group A2.1), with a salary coefficient from 4.40 to 6.78;

c) The career title of doctor (Grade III), the career title of preventive medicine doctor (Grade III) shall apply the salary coefficient for public employee type A1, with a salary coefficient from 2.34 to 4.98;

d) The career title of physician assistant shall apply the salary coefficient for public employee type B, with a salary coefficient from 1.86 to 4.06.

Specifically, the current salary levels for medical staff in school are as follows:

- The career title of senior doctor (Grade I), the career title of senior preventive medicine doctor (Grade I) applies the salary coefficient for public employee type A3 (group A3.1), with a salary coefficient from 6.20 to 8.00, which is VND 11,160,000 to 14,400,000 (per month).

- The career title of principal doctor (Grade II), the career title of principal preventive medicine doctor (Grade II) applies the salary coefficient for public employee type A2 (group A2.1), with a salary coefficient from 4.40 to 6.78, which is VND 7,920,000 to 12,204,000 (per month).

- The career title of doctor (Grade III), the career title of preventive medicine doctor (Grade III) applies the salary coefficient for public employee type A1, with a salary coefficient from 2.34 to 4.98, which is VND 4,212,000 to 8,964,000 (per month).
