Vietnamese Lunar New Year holiday 2023 for cadres, civil servants and public employees?
On 07/12/2022, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Announcement 5034/TB-LDTBXH in 2022 on the Vietnamese Lunar New Year holiday and National Day holiday in 2023 for cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees.
Accordingly, in Section 1 of Announcement 5034/TB-LDTBXH in 2022, the Announcement is as follows:
Cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of administrative agencies, careers, political organizations, socio-political organizations (hereinafter referred to as civil servants and public employees) are entitled to the Vietnamese Lunar New Year holiday in 2023 from Friday 20/01/2023 Solar calendar (i.e. December 29, 2023) to Thursday 26/01/2023 Solar calendar (i.e. January 5, 2023) Crowns).
This holiday includes 05 days of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year holiday and 02 days of compensatory weekly leave as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code 2015.

Official National Day holiday 2023 of Vietnam schedule of cadres, civil servants and public employees?
According to the provisions of Section 2 of Announcement 5034/TB-LDTBXH in 2022, civil servants and public employees take the National Day holiday in 2023 from Friday 01/9/2023 to Monday 04/9/2023 Calendar.
This holiday includes 2 days of National Day holiday, 01 day of weekly holiday and 01 day of weekly holiday compensation as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code 2015.
Agencies and units implementing the Vietnamese Lunar New Year holiday and National Day holiday in 2023 note:
Arrange and arrange reasonable working parts to solve continuous work, ensure good service to the organization and the People;
On the other hand, agencies and units that do not implement a fixed holiday schedule every Saturday and Sunday, will base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange the vacation schedule accordingly.
Vietnamese Lunar New Year holiday and National Day holiday 2023 for employees?
In Section 5 of Announcement 5034/TB-LDTBXH in 2022, the Lunar New Year holiday 2023 and the official National Day holiday schedule for non-employees working at administrative agencies, non-business units, socio-political organizations, specifically as follows:
For the Vietnamese Lunar New Year holiday, the employer may decide on the appropriate Tet holiday plan as follows:
- Choose 01 day at the end of the Year of Tiger and 04 days at the beginning of the year of Cat or 02 days at the end of the year of Tiger and 03 days at the end of the year of The Crown and 02 days at the beginning of the year of Cat.
For the National Day holiday, the specific holiday schedule is as follows:
- Saturday, 02/09/2023 Solar calendar and choose 01 in 02 days: the following 01/09/2023 or Sunday 03/09/2023 Calendar.
At the same time, the employer must notify the plan for the Vietnamese Lunar New Year holiday and the National Day holiday 2023 30 days in advance to the employee.
In case the weekly holiday coincides with the public holiday or Tet specified in Clause 1, Article 112 of the Labor Code of Vietnam, the employee is entitled to a compensatory leave on the next working day as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code 2015

- Urgently return to normal work after holidays, strive to complete tasks right from the first months of the year.
