- Numerals, adverbs: characteristics and functions
- Main components and adverbial elements in sentences: expanding main components and adverbials using phrases
- Application of ellipsis dots (in cooperation with commas, to indicate several similar items or phenomena not fully listed; to express interrupted or hesitant speech; to stretch the rhythm of the sentence, preparing for the introduction of unexpected or humorous, satirical content)
- Rhetorical devices of hyperbole and understatement: characteristics and effects
- Coherence and flow in texts: characteristics and functions
- Text types and genres:
+ Narrative texts: essays recounting real events related to characters and historical events
+ Expressive texts: expressive essays; four-line and five-line poems; paragraphs recording emotions after reading a four or five-line poem.
+ Argumentative texts: the relationship between opinions, reasons, and evidence; an argumentative essay on a social issue; an analysis essay on a literary work
+ Informational texts: footnotes and references; explanatory essays for a rule or practice in games or activities; reports; summaries of varying lengths
- Regional language variations: understanding and valuing linguistic differences among regions
- Non-verbal communication means: images, statistics
In addition to Vietnamese language knowledge, grade 7 students' literature knowledge includes:
- The cognitive value of literature
- Themes and subjects of texts; the relationship between details and themes, ways to identify text themes; author's attitudes and emotions reflected in texts
- Summarized texts- Forms of proverbs
- Themes, events, situations, plots, spaces, times, characters of fables and science fiction stories
- First-person and third-person narrators; the effect of each type of narrator in a narrative
- Formal elements of four and five-line poems: number of lines, words, rhyme, rhythm
- Lyrical quality, the self, the language of essays and journalistic prose
- Life experiences and understanding of literature
What are Literature texts for grade 7 in Vietnam?

Who selects the Literature textbooks for grade 7 students in Vietnam?
According to Clause 1, Article 32 of the Education Law 2019, the regulation on general textbooks is as follows:
General textbooks
1. The general textbooks are regulated as follows:
a) Textbooks implement secondary school curricula, specifying the objectives, educational content, quality and competency requirements of students; providing guidance on teaching methods and assessment tools; ensuring content and textbook formats are free from ethnic, religious, occupational, gender, age, and social status biases; textbooks can be in printed form, Braille, and electronic formats;
b) Each subject can have one or multiple textbooks; private investment in textbook composition is allowed; textbook publication complies with legal regulations;
c) Provincial-level People's Committees decide the stable use of textbooks at secondary schools in their areas according to regulations by the Ministry of Education and Training;
d) Local educational materials are compiled by provincial-level People's Committees to meet local needs and suit local characteristics, subject to evaluation by provincial appraisal committees and approval by the Minister of Education and Training.
