The Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam provides explanations for certain provisions of the Law on Planning

On August 16, 2019, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam issued Resolution No. 751/2019/UBTVQH14, which provides explanations for certain provisions of the Law on Planning.

Specifically, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam provides explanations for certain provisions of the Law on Planning as follows:

- Clause 1 Article 6 and Clause 2 Article 20 can be understood as follows: Planning, as regulated by the Law on Planning and other amended and supplemented laws and ordinances related to planning, can be simultaneously prepared. The planning that is completed and reviewed first will be decided or approved first. If there are conflicts, the lower-level planning must be adjusted according to the higher-level planning;

- The plannings mentioned in Point c Clause 1 Article 59 of the Law on Planning that was decided or approved before January 01, 2019, can be adjusted in its implementation according to the provisions of relevant laws in effect before the date the Law on Planning took effect, in order to meet the requirements of socio-economic development until national, regional, and provincial planning is decided or approved according to the Law on Planning.
