On June 30 2021, the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam issued Circular No. 04/2021/TT-BXD on instructions for export of minerals used as building materials.

According to the Circular No. 04/2021/TT-BXD of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam, minerals used as building materials transferred abroad for technological analysis, research or testing are supplemented to the list of minerals used as building materials for export.

In addition, Circular No. 04/2021/TT-BXD also supplements provisions on some minerals such as:

- Stone blocks used as stone slabs are natural stones quarried from magma, sedimentary stones, metamorphic stones machined into tiling or paving slabs, volume ≥ 0.4 m3

- Stone blocks used as stone slabs are natural stones machined into tiling or paving slabs (in accordance with national Technical Indicators 4732:2016 on natural stone slabs) used in construction.

Moreover, technical specifications and indicators of materials are also adjusted, typically:

- Reduce the volume of stone blocks from ≥ 0,5 m3 to ≥ 0,4 m3.

- Kaolin used as raw materials for production of building materials or in other industries are worked or processed into products.

Circular No. 04/2021/TT-BXD of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam takes effect from August 28, 2021 and replaces the Circular No. 05/2018/TT-BXD and Circular No. 05/2019/TT-BXD.
