Support for Meal Expenses for Ethnic Minority Workers in Short-term Vocational Training

This is the newly supplemented content in Circular 58/2017/TT-BTC regarding financial support policies for organizations and units employing ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands provinces, mountainous areas, and specially disadvantaged regions according to Decision 42/2012/QD-TTg.

In addition to training costs and insurance policies, ethnic minority workers participating in short-term vocational training courses are provided with additional support for food and travel expenses as follows:

- Food allowance: 30,000 VND/person/day of actual training;- Travel allowance: 200,000 VND/person/course if the training location is ≥ 15km away from the place of residence;- Travel allowance: 300,000 VND/person/course if the training location is ≥ 5km away from the place of residence, applicable to ethnic minorities residing in communes, villages, or hamlets in difficult or especially difficult areas as regulated by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.
