Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Resolution No. 143/NQ-CP approving the task of developing the National Master Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 in Vietnam.
The formulation of the National Master Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 in Vietnam, shall adhere to the following principles:
- Ensure compliance with the fundamental principles in planning activities in Vietnam as stated in Article 4 of the 2017 Planning Law;
- Align with the Platform for National Development during the Transitional Period to Socialism and the National Socio-Economic Development Strategy for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045 of Vietnam;
- Ensure harmony between economic development with social stability, environmental protection, and national defense and security; enhance resilience and adaptability to climate change, and disaster prevention and control; rational and effective exploitation and use of natural resources; conserve and promote cultural and natural heritage in Vietnam;
- Ensure the linkage, synchronization, and systematization between sectors and regions nationwide; maximize the utilization of existing infrastructure;
- Ensure close, synchronized, and effective coordination between the planning formulation agency and the agency organizing the plan component formulation.
