Criteria for appointment as judicial expertise according to financial sector in Vietnam

Circular 40/2022/TT-BTC dated June 29, 2022 stipulating the regulations on judicial expertise in the financial sector, in which additional standards are specified. duty citizens to become judicial experts, to be appointed as judicial experts according to the circumstances in Vietnam.

Specifically, the criteria for appointment as judicial expertise according to financial sector cases are as follows:

Vietnamese citizens permanently residing in Vietnam who fully meet the criteria specified in Clause 1, Article 18 of Vietnam's Law on Judicial Assessment 2012 will be considered and appointed as judicial experts according to the circumstances.

This criteria includes:

+ Good health and moral qualities;

+ A university degree or higher is required, as well as five years of professional experience in the field of training.

If a person does not have a university degree as prescribed but has in-depth professional knowledge and practical experience in the field to be assessed, they may still be appointed as a judicial expert according to the circumstances in Vietnam.

Circular 40/2022/TT-BTC takes effect on August 15, 2022 and replaces Circular 138/2013/TT-BTC.
