Recently, the Government of Vietnam has issued the Decree No. 148/2020/NĐ-CP on amendments and supplements to several decrees, providing detailed regulations on implementation of the Decree No. 43/2014/NĐ-CP detailing a number of articles of the Land Law, according to which there are many changes in land regulations. Below are 4 new points on the red book from February 08, 2021 that everyone should know.
In the near future, consolidation and swap of land parcels shall be subject to issuance of red book instead of renewal as previously regulated. Below are guidelines for consolidation and swap of land parcels in Vietnam from February 08, 2021.
According to current Vietnam’s regulations, one of the mandatory conditions for a user to transfer his/her land use right is to have a certificate of land use right (red book). However, there are now exceptions when land users who do not need a red book can also perform the transfer.
