If the Company owes Social Insurance in Vietnam, are employees entitled to rent subsidies?

If the company participates in social insurance for employees but has time to pay debts, delay in paying social insurance in Vietnam, will the employee receive rent support?

The late payment and debt payment of social insurance in Vietnam and the confirmation of employees participating in social insurance in Vietnam are two different relationships.

- Pursuant to the provisions of Point a, Clause 3, Article 8 of Decree 145/2020/ND-CP detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Labor Code and labor relations.

- Pursuant to Official Dispatch 326/ CVL-TTLĐ of the Department of Employment (Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) guiding Decision 08/2022/QD-TTg regulating the implementation of policies on rent support for employees, to guide the removal of some obstacles on rent support for employees.

For employees participating in social insurance in Vietnam, the social insurance agency in Vietnam will confirm whether or not they participate in social insurance in Vietnam, not related to the fact that the company is late in paying or owing social insurance premiums.

The social insurance agency always creates the most favorable conditions to confirm the list of rent support for employees...

Therefore, for companies that are in debt, late paying social insurance premiums in Vietnam, in which employees are eligible for rent support under Decision 08/2022/QD-TTg regulating the implementation of policies on rent support for employees, they are still entitled to rent support.
