According to legal regulations, no later than 15 days from the date the planning is decided or approved by the competent authority, the entire content of the planning must be publicly announced, except for contents related to state secrets in accordance with the law on the protection of state secrets.
To be specific, according to the provisions of Article 40 of the Planning Law 2017, the planning must be regularly and continuously posted on the website of the planning organizing agency and the planning compiling agency.
Additionally, the planning is also announced through the following forms:
- Information on mass media;- Display of models, diagram systems, maps, and planning database systems;- Organizing conferences and seminars;- Publishing releases.
Regarding the responsibility for announcing the planning, the law stipulates as follows:
- The Ministry of Planning and Investment organizes the announcement of the national master plan and regional planning.- The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment organizes the announcement of the national maritime spatial planning and the national land use planning.- Ministries and ministerial-level agencies organize the announcement of national sectoral plans under their organization authority.- Provincial People's Committees organize the announcement of provincial planning.
