Recently, according to the latest document on December 1, 2022, considering the proposal from the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs regarding the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2023, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Vu Duc Dam agreed with the option to extend the Lunar New Year 2023 holiday to 7 days.
The Schedule for the Lunar New Year Holiday 2023 for officials, public employees, and employees, will start from Friday, January 20, 2023 (the 29th day of the 12th lunar month of 2022) to the end of Thursday, January 26, 2023 (the 5th day of the 1st lunar month of 2023).
Official Schedule for Lunar New Year Holiday 2023: 7 consecutive days off
Previously, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs had submitted to the Prime Minister both plans for the Lunar New Year 2023 holiday. Plan 1 is to have the holiday from Friday (January 20, 2023) to the end of Thursday (January 26, 2023), which means from the 29th day of the 12th lunar month of 2022 to the end of the 5th day of the 1st lunar month of 2023. |
The Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) is authorized to announce the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays for 2023.
The Government of Vietnam also requests that agencies and units implementing the above holiday schedule should reasonably arrange working departments to ensure continuous work and guarantee good service to organizations and the public.
