The establishment date of the Vietnam People's Army is December 22nd. On December 22nd, 1944, in a forest area in Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province, the Vietnam Propaganda Unit of the Liberation Army officially held its founding ceremony. It consisted of three squads, with 34 soldiers selected from the Cao-Bac-Lang region. It was directly commanded by comrade Vo Nguyen Giap. 3. Who are the participants in the celebration ceremony for the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army?

According to the regulations specified in Point d, Subsection 9, Section II, Article 1 of Decision 307/QD-TTg in 2023, the participants attending the ceremony to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army include:

+ Prime Minister, former Prime Minister;

+ Chairman of the National Assembly, former Chairman of the National Assembly;

+ Standing members of the Central Secretariat Committee of the Communist Party, former standing members of the Central Secretariat Committee of the Communist Party;

+ Members of the Politburo, former members of the Politburo;

+ Chairman of the Central Secretariat Committee of the Communist Party, former Chairman of the Central Secretariat Committee of the Communist Party;

+ Vice President, former Vice President;

+ Deputy Prime Minister, former Deputy Prime Minister;

+ Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly, former Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly.

- Revolutionary veterans, Vietnamese heroic mothers, heroes of the people's armed forces, labor heroes (within the Hanoi area).

- Leaders of central-level committees, ministries, and socio-political organizations; leaders of provinces and centrally-administered cities; representatives of certain agencies under the Ministry of Public Security.

- Representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the organization board for the commemorative activities, and the permanent support team assisting the organization board convened by the Ministry of Defense.

- Leaders from the Ministry of Defense, diplomatic delegations of neighboring countries, ASEAN countries, and some countries with friendly relations; military attachés, defense attachés, and military representatives from resident countries in Hanoi; neighboring countries, ASEAN countries.

- Leaders from Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province; leaders from Tam Kim commune and Hoa Tham commune, Nguyen Binh district.

- Representatives of the family of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the families of soldiers from the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army Team (within the Hanoi area).
