Hello, Lawnet would like to answer as follows:
According to the Standard TCVN 7064:2010, tissue paper is made from bleached paper pulp, which includes virgin paper pulp, recycled paper pulp, or a combination of these two types of pulp.
Technical requirements for tissue paper:
- Raw materials
Tissue paper is made from bleached paper pulp, which includes virgin paper pulp, recycled paper pulp, or a combination of these two types of pulp.
- Size
Tissue paper is produced in various sizes, depending on the agreement between the manufacturer and the customer.
- External criteria
The paper is white, dyed, or printed with designs according to customer requirements. White paper must have an ISO whiteness greater than 70%.
The surface of the paper must be clean, without defects such as holes, lumps of paper pulp, etc. that could cause difficulties when used.
The paper must be uniform, soft, and easily soluble in water.
The paper can be made with embossing or with raised patterns.
tissue paper should not have an unpleasant odor when dry or damp.
- Physical and mechanical criteria
The physical and mechanical criteria of tissue paper are specified in Table 1.
Table 1 - Physical and mechanical criteria
Criteria |
Level |
1. Quantitative, g/m 2 not smaller |
14.0 |
2. Tensile strength, N/m, not less |

NOTE: These regulations only apply to one layer of two-layer or multi-layer tissue paper products. |
- Sanitary criteria
The chemicals and dyes used in the production of tissue paper must meet the current sanitary safety regulations.
According to the Standard TCVN 7064:2010, the packaging, labeling, transportation, and storage of tissue paper are regulated as follows:
- Packaging
tissue paper rolls are packaged or packed in units according to the agreement between the customer and the manufacturer.
- Labeling
Each packaging unit must have a clear label, printed with non-fading ink in a visible position, with the following information:
+ Product name;
+ Manufacturer's name and address;
+ Number of plies on the roll;
+ Width and length of the roll;
+ Number of rolls in each unit;
+ Production date;
+ Expiration date.
- Transportation
Transportation vehicles must be clean and equipped with a roof or tarpaulin to protect against rain and sunlight.
Loading and unloading must be done gently, without affecting the quality of the paper or protecting the packaging or brand.
- Storage
The storage area for tissue paper must be dry, well-ventilated, have a roof, and be protected against pests.
The units of paper must be arranged for easy transportation by motor vehicles.
The storage area must have a fire prevention system and be regularly inspected according to current regulations.
According to the Standard TCVN 7064:2010, the procedure and manual method for measuring the water absorption capacity of tissue paper are regulated as follows:
Weigh the mass of a cylindrical basket (mb) accurately to milligrams.
Place the known mass of the test sample into the cylindrical basket. Roll the test sample to fit the curved shape of the cylindrical basket, without folding the sample. Then place the test sample into the cylindrical basket, ensuring that one side measuring 76 mm lightly touches and is parallel to the edge of the basket.
Release the cylindrical basket horizontally from a height of (25 ± 5) mm above the water surface into a water container and simultaneously start the stopwatch.
Observe the water absorption of the test sample, and immediately stop the stopwatch when the test sample is completely wet.
Record the time needed to fully wet the test sample.
Keep the cylindrical basket and the test sample submerged in water for (30 ± 1) s.
Lift the cylindrical basket to a horizontal position out of the water container, then hang the basket on a stand (refer to 7.1.2) at an angle of 30° to the horizontal line.
Allow the basket to drain for (60 ± 1) s.
Immediately weigh the mass of the cylindrical basket and the test sample (mn), accurately to milligrams.
Repeat the above procedure for each of the remaining four test samples, ensuring compliance with the requirements.
Replace the water after completing a series of test samples.
