19 positions of officials and public employees are exempted from certificates of foreign languages and informatics in Vietnam

Recently, ministries and sectors in Vietnam have continuously issued new circulars on training standards for officials and public employees. Notably, most of these documents have removed the requirements for foreign language and computer training qualifications for officials and public employees.

The following is a summary of the titles of officials and public employees who are exempted from foreign language and informatics certificates:

1. Teacher (according to Circular No. 01/2021/TT-BGDĐT, Circular No. 02/2021/TT-BGDĐT, Circular No. 03/2021/TT-BGDĐT, Circular No. 04/2021/TT-BGDĐT effective from March 20, 2021);

2. Administrative and clerical official (according to Circular No. 2/2021/TT-BNV effective from August 01, 2021);

3. Civil judgment enforcement official (according to Circular No. 06/2021/TT-BTP effective from October 14, 2021);

4. Cultural heritage employee (according to Circular No. 16/2021/TT-BVHTTDL effective from February 05, 2022);

5. Market management official (according to Circular No. 02/2022/TT-BCT effective from April 01, 2022);

6. Medical employee (according to Circular No. 03/2022/TT-BYT effective from June 10, 2022);

7. Accountant, tax, customs officer (according to Circular No. 29/2022/TT-BTC effective from July 18,2022);

8. Library employee (according to Circular No. 02/2022/TT-BVHTTDL effective from August 15, 2022);

9. Public employees specialized in information technology, information security (according to Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BTTTT effective from August 15, 2022);

10. Sound officer, broadcaster, editing technician, cinematographer specializing in Information and Communication (according to Circular No. 07/2022/TT-BTTTT effective from August 15, 2022);

11. Grassroots culture employee (according to Circular No. 03/2022/TT-BVHTTDL effective from August 25, 2022);

12. Agricultural employee (according to Circular No. 03/2022/TT-BVHTTDL effective from August 25, 2022);

13. Agricultural official (according to Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BNNPTNT effective from October 06, 2022)

14. Editors, reporters, translators and television directors (according to Circular No. 13/2022/TT-BTTTT effective from October 10, 2022);

15. Archiving employee (according to Circular No. 07/2022/TT-BNV effective from October 15, 2022);

16. Legal aid employer (according to Circular No. 05/2022/TT-BTP effective from October 20, 2022);

17. Public employees specialized in science and technology (according to Circular No. 14/2022/TT-BKHCN effective from December 12, 2022);

18. Public employees specialized in sports (according to Circular No. 07/2022/TT-BVHTTDL effective from December 10, 2022);

19. Public employees secialized in natural resources and environment (according to Circular No. 12/2022/TT-BTNMT effective from December 09, 2022).
