What are the knowledge requirements for students with an associate degree in business administration in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Subsection 2, Section A, Part 9 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 41/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the knowledge requirements for students graduating with an associate degree in Business Administration are as follows:
- Present basic concepts in the fields of business, administration, human resources, marketing, and assistance;
- Explain the rights and obligations of employees according to the Labor Law;
- Identify the contents and legal documents related to the activities of the organization;
- List personal responsibilities and tasks when working in a team;
- Identify appropriate organizational structures for different types of organizations;
- Explain and analyze the business activities of the organization;
- Identify the business operation processes;
- Determine the work implementation processes and work logs;
- Describe the processes and methods of performing tasks in business activities;
- Explain economic laws and environmental variables affecting organizational operations;
- Update regulations and policies regarding business operations;
- Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense, security, and physical education according to regulations.

- Determine business strategies for the unit;
- Advise leaders on management improvement suitable for different business stages;
- Establish relationships between units and partners;
- Resolve customer complaints and inquiries in all circumstances;
- Establish and start new organizations on a small and medium scale;
- Organize the implementation of occupational safety measures;
- Detect and prevent risks and hazards at the workplace;
- Use basic information technology as required; exploit, process, and apply information technology in the professional work of the industry, trade;

General Introduction to the Field
The associate degree in Business Administration is a combination of science and the art of management and business. This field supports the maximum development of systematic thinking in management and improves the efficiency of product and service systems to meet societal needs, achieving level 5 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
The field of Business Administration involves maintaining and developing the business activities of the organization, including considering, creating systems, processes, and maximizing operational efficiency, "managing business operations" through the thinking and decision-making processes of managers. To connect and operate the entire system of the organization, graduates in Business Administration can take on job positions related to various departments such as Human Resources, Sales, Marketing, Administration, and Assistance. These are common job positions in small and medium-sized enterprises.
Jobs in this field are mainly performed in various departments of the organization or business production facilities. Therefore, these job positions must endure high working intensity, substantial time pressure, and the need to ensure the progress of the business plans of the organization. To effectively perform tasks, essential working conditions must be ensured, such as a healthy working environment; reasonable business premises; appropriate equipment and tools for each job; management and monitoring software for products; and effective communication systems; and internal regulations governing production and business activities.
Minimum Knowledge Requirement: 2,045 hours (equivalent to 73 credits).
