c) The school badge is to be attached on the left chest or the outer left sleeve (for students of general education institutions); attached on the left chest (for students of vocational schools and university students).

For female students, if wearing a skirt, the skirt length must cover the knees.

If choosing ao dai as the uniform, it is applicable only to female students in high schools, vocational schools, and universities.

2. The winter uniform includes:

a) Jackets.
b) Trousers or skirts like the summer uniform (for females).
c) The school badge is to be attached on the left chest or the outer left sleeve (for students of general education institutions); attached on the left chest (for students of vocational schools and university students).

3. On non-uniform days, students must dress neatly and cleanly, ensuring seriousness.

Thus, the school badge for students is to be attached on the left chest or the outer left sleeve (for students of general education institutions); attached on the left chest (for students of vocational schools and university students).

Fixed position: The student badge should be attached in a fixed position, not shifting during movement.

Cleanliness: The attachment area must be clean, free from dirt, to ensure the badge sticks firmly.

What are the principles for students wearing uniforms in Vietnam?

According to the provisions in Article 3 of Circular 26/2009/TT-BGDDT, the principles are as follows:

- Principles of wearing uniforms:

+ Ensure aesthetics, suitable for the gender, age of students, national cultural identity, and characteristics of each locality while maintaining stability, showcasing the school's tradition.

+ Suitable for weather conditions, convenient for studying, school activities, and other engagements.

+ Ensure cost-effectiveness, suitable for the economic and social conditions of each locality and each school.

- Principles of wearing ceremonial attire:

+ Ensure uniformity within each school or each type of training.

+ Ensure aesthetics and educational value in graduation ceremonies.

+ Distinguish graduates by training levels: vocational, university.

+ Ensure scientific integrity, reflecting the cultural traditions of Vietnam.

- If the uniform or ceremonial attire is sponsored by organizations or individuals domestically or internationally, it must comply with the regulations in this document and should not be exploited for advertising purposes.

- Encourage students from ethnic minorities to wear their traditional costumes on holidays, festivals, and on non-uniform days.

What are responsibilities of general education institutions regarding student uniforms in Vietnam?

According to Article 7 of Circular 26/2009/TT-BGDDT, the responsibilities of general education institutions are as follows:

Responsibilities of General Education Institutions

1. Based on the climate and weather of each region, the conditions of the school, and the consensus of the parents, the principal decides on the wearing of uniforms and determines the style, color, and number of uniform days in a week.

2. Any changes in the style or color of the uniform must be agreed upon by the school council and the parents' representative board.

3. Parents or the parents' representative board organize the making or purchasing of uniforms in accordance with this Circular and other school regulations.

Referring to the above regulations, the student uniform in the summer includes:

- A shirt and trousers or a traditional ao dai.

- Shoes or sandals with ankle straps.

- The school badge is to be attached on the left chest or the outer left sleeve (for students of general education institutions); attached on the left chest (for students of vocational schools and university students).
