Conducting a two-session school day, with no more than 7 periods per day; each period lasts 35 minutes. Educational institutions that do not have the conditions to organize a two-session school day will implement the educational plan following the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to the regulations in Article 28 of the Education Law 2019, the regulations are as follows:
Levels and ages of general education
1. Levels and ages of general education are regulated as follows:
a) Primary education is conducted for 05 school years, from grade one to the end of grade five. Students enter grade one at the age of 06, calculated by year;
b) Secondary education is conducted for 04 school years, from grade six to the end of grade nine. Students enter grade six after completing the primary program. The age of students entering grade six is 11, calculated by year;
c) High school education is conducted for 03 school years, from grade ten to the end of grade twelve. Students enter grade ten after completing the secondary program. The age of students entering grade ten is 15, calculated by year.
