Based on Clause 2, Article 8 of the Regulations on the Awarding of Science and Technology Award for Young Lecturers and Students in Higher Education Institutions, issued together with Circular 45/2020/TT-BGDDT,:
Time for submitting applications, evaluation, award consideration, and organization of the Award Ceremony
- The Ministry of Education and Training issues a plan to organize the awarding of the Award in the first quarter of the award year.
- The deadline for submission of applications for award consideration (hereinafter referred to as Award applications): before June 30 of the award year. In special cases, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce an adjustment for the application deadline.
- The evaluation, preliminary round, final round, announcement, and Award Ceremony will be held before December 15 of the award year and will be notified to higher education institutions with participating projects/topics and published on the electronic portal of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Thus, the deadline for submission of applications for the Science and Technology Award for young lecturers and students is before June 30 of the award year.
In special cases, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce an adjustment for the application deadline.

What does the application for the Science and Technology Award for young lecturers and students in Vietnam include?
Based on Article 7 of the Regulations on the Awarding of Science and Technology Award for Young Lecturers and Students in Higher Education Institutions, issued together with Circular 45/2020/TT-BGDDT, the application for the Science and Technology Award for young lecturers and students is as follows:
* The application for the Award for young lecturers includes:
- Registration form to participate in the Award consideration for young lecturers; (1)
- Three copies of the final project report for the Award consideration; (2)
- A set of supporting documents related to publication (for published projects) or a confirmation letter of the project's application from a competent authority (for projects applied in practice); a copy of the Certificate of Registration of Science and Technology Task Results for projects requesting the Award that use or receive funding from the state budget (if any), according to Form 10 of Circular 14/2014/TT-BKHCN; copies of documents, scientific and technological materials, and other related documents (if any). (3)
- One electronic application with all documents specified in (1), (2), (3).
* The application for the Award for students includes:
- Registration form to participate in the Award consideration for students; (1)
- Three copies of the final topic report for the Award consideration; (2)
- A set of supporting documents for scientific publication results from the research topic or evaluations by the implementing institution (if any); copies of documents, scientific and technological materials, and other related documents (if any); (3)
- Supporting documents to determine the maximum number of topics that the higher education institution can submit, as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 5 of the Regulations on the Awarding of Science and Technology Award for Young Lecturers and Students in Higher Education Institutions, issued together with Circular 45/2020/TT-BGDDT. (4)
- One (01) electronic application containing all documents specified in (1), (2), (3).
What are the conditions for an application for the Science and Technology Award for young lecturers and students to be valid in Vietnam?
Based on Article 10 of the Regulations on the Awarding of Science and Technology Award for Young Lecturers and Students in Higher Education Institutions, issued together with Circular 45/2020/TT-BGDDT, an application for the Science and Technology Award for young lecturers and students must meet the following 4 conditions to be valid:
- Complete applications as prescribed;
- Information about young lecturers, students, supervisors, and the name of the higher education institution should not be displayed in the final project report or related scientific documents (if any), except for the list of references. In special cases where the name of the higher education institution is a part of the project title or research content, the application is considered valid.
- Submission of the Award application is within the prescribed deadline. The date of receipt is determined through one of the following methods:
+ The date the higher education institution sends the full application to participate in the Award via the Award’s email address.
+ The postmark date in case of postal submission.
+ The date of the reception stamp of the Ministry of Education and Training or the reception stamp of the authorized higher education institution in case of direct submission.
- Ensure compliance with regulations regarding subjects, science and technology fields, and conditions for projects and topics participating in the Award consideration as stated in Clause 3, Article 1, Articles 3 and 4 of the Regulations on the Awarding of Science and Technology Award for Young Lecturers and Students in Higher Education Institutions, issued together with Circular 45/2020/TT-BGDDT.
