How many credits are required for an associate degree in civil electronics in Vietnam?
Based on Sub-section 1, Section A, Part 13 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH:
General introduction to the field and profession
Civil electronics at the associate level involves professionals conducting tasks such as assembling, inspecting, repairing, maintaining, producing, and utilizing civil electronic devices like household electronics, monitoring and warning systems, smart control systems, civil lighting systems, and personal health care devices according to technical requirements, ensuring security and safety, meeting Level 5 requirements within the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework.
Practitioners of civil electronics work in manufacturing facilities, agencies, and business units, and can also self-organize and run repair and manufacturing facilities for electronic devices.
To work in this field, laborers need good health and professional ethics, comprehensive knowledge, and vocational skills suitable for their job positions. They should be proactive in their tasks, communicate and collaborate effectively in teams, organize and manage production processes, and mentor lower-level employees corresponding to the defined level.
Minimum knowledge load: 2,500 hours (equivalent to 90 credits).
Thus, students majoring in civil electronics at the associate degree level must complete at least 2,500 hours (equivalent to 90 credits).

- Reading technical drawings and diagrams, repairing, assembling, and designing specialized circuits
- Profficient use of common specialized tools
- Use software for drawing and assembling basic electronic circuits
- Assembling, inspecting, and calibrating basic electronic circuits
- Handling technical incidents occurring during the operation of electronic devices and telecommunications equipment
- Upgrading and improving civil electronic systems
- Using smartphones to control household automation devices
- Operating and handling some situations in smart city and smart home systems according to communication network standards
- Installing and connecting mobile information, optical information, television networks, and internet devices
- Maintaining and repairing civil electronic devices, audiovisual systems, cameras, and monitoring warning systems
- Producing and testing products in production lines and workshops for civil electronic devices
- Developing business plans such as marketing plans and organizing conferences
- Preparing forms, reports, internal documents, and common contracts for business and service
- Implementing safety measures, environmental sanitation, and fire protection as d- Utilizing basic foreign language skills, reaching Level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; applying foreign language in professional tasks
